He has been complaining of neck ( cervical pain). He said surgery was not possible because the procedure could cause larynx damage.
He also said he might have an injection ( epidural) for the pain, as he could not take oral pain meds.

That is the same problem he had before he went into rehab. He kept calling it back pain and that he choose not to have surgery because they would have to go through his esophogus and he just couldn't take the risk of larynx damage. I think after rehab he learned how to deal with the pain. That is why suddenly when he started complaining last week, I think it was more then just his neck/back problem.
