Sources: Limbaugh Rushed To Honolulu Hospital
KITV Honolulu ^ | Dec. 30, 2009 | KITV

Posted on 12/30/2009 6:46:56 PM PST by Beaten Valve

HONOLULU -- Conservative radio talk host Rush Limbaugh was rushed to a Honolulu hospital on Wednesday afternoon with chest pains, sources told KITV.

Paramedics responded to the call at 2:41 p.m. at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.

Limbaugh suffered from chest pains, sources said. Paramedics treated him and took him to Queen's Medical Center in serious condition.

He was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.

The radio show host had been in the islands during the holidays. Coincidentally, his visit comes at a time when two of the nation's most powerful Democrats, President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are also staying in Hawaii.

Meh - no worse than here if say Chrissie Matthews was taken in.

I beg to differ. The difference between the way Freepers handled Elizabeth Edward's cancer and the way DU handled Laura Ingraham's cancer was like night and day. Small thing with this incident and Freeper reaction to an ambulance being called to the Obama compound.

Well, I am a nurse and I am pretty good with medical terms but, over the years became lazy at spelling and grammar (the computer does it for me and I am spoiled!)

I was thrilled when I finally got the spelling of “diarrhea” down-pat in nursing school LMAO

Okay so you can't tell me what procedure you had....

But why call it a "snarkelopisky"...when you are probably guessing?

FWIW....P-F didn't get it right...even after "correcting" themselves....

Hey...maybe it's all my fault. I'm in the biz....and like accuracy.

It's my fault.....I can take it.

Yep. Bemoaning last night that Rush didn’t give us FReeper Ladies a date, then today....

I have an old friend who lost her teenage son on Christmas Eve. I didn’t find out about it until several days ago. He wasn’t sick. Just passed away while sleeping.

There was a huge sex scandal about 10 years ago involving his son (presumed to be an under aged student) and a high school teacher that even led to the talk of AIDS transmission.

Yes, involving WWCR, a shortwave broadcasting station. I think Art's lawyers clobbered them, and rightly so, since the story they spread was a hideous lie about Art.

I went years with GB disease, then got it out, then found out I still make stones...had 4 stones stuck in my bile duct once, and that was no fun at all.

I would not say folks have critized his wt loss but rather expressed concerns for complications of a really quick wt loss and the risks.

"Thanks, but a full recovery from what??

Not sure but thankfully he seems to be stable and maybe on the mend.

There is some chatter that he told the Paramedics that he was on meds for his back. I had an uncle who died one week from a massive heart attack after seeing a doctor for pain in his back and shoulder.

Thanks - I’ve only been to kos once and couldn’t stand to go back...I kinda figured that most would be hateful, but had a glimmer of hope that some would be nice. I couldn’t stand to be around people that hateful, so it always makes me wonder how the nicer liberals can stand to be around the other 80% of them.

(I’ve personally known some very nice, ill-informed liberals that never say a bad word about anyone and were/are very nice folks, but have always wondered how they can associate with nasty people that wish death on others and such)

Aloha Starwise,

I checked back and forth on KGMB, KHON and KITV and got nothing other than what's already been reported.

I'm not a doctor but have taken people to the hospital who have experienced 'chest pains', most turned out to be something other than a heart attack. But once in the ER, they don't fool around; they'll hook him up to a monitor, run blood tests and wait for the results, keeping him there for several hours under observation.

Our best source of information may well come from Rush's website at this point.

Someone else turn CNN on, too! Just in case of breaking news.

Okay ... I'm forcing myself to look at Skeletor--I mean, Larry King--in case something happens, lol

I'm sorry you're in pain. Prayers for your comfort.

Actually nobody uses the CK anymore. There is a much more specific test called a troponin. These tests are used when the physician is unsure of the cause of the chest pain and it is not likely to be cardiac.
If there is a high liklihood of cardiac pain based on the initial assessment and EKG, the test of choice is to procede directely to the cath lab for coronary angiography. (heart catheterization)

Speaking about Art, before he retired for the last time, he used to speak about “the Quickening”. Been thinking about that lately. Sure feels like things are coming fast, furious, and strange.

I like it when he subs. I listened to him for a long time. Late night feedings of children went by faster listening to Art. I find his voice “comforting”. If that’s the right word.

Ian Punn(et?) on the other hand, I find liberally strange, along with some of his “guests”. I have to shut him off a lot.

I believe he lost it over a longish period of time on a sensible diet. No problem there. My son did the same thing and lost 60 pounds just by cutting back on intake.

I didn’t even know he had a daughter. So he had no children with Ramona?

No. At one point, they had 5 cats running around inside their double-wide, however. Sometimes Art would bring one of them into the studio, and hold it up to the web-cam.

The other day when the ambulance was dispatched to the Obama vacation home, there wasn't a remotely crass or unseemly comment on that entire thread. The first fifty or so responses (maybe more) alluded to nothing but "prayers for the family". You'd never see that on ANY leftist website about Bush - to especially include DU which is remarkably crude and offensive, even for leftists.
