HONOLULU -- Conservative radio talk host Rush Limbaugh was rushed to a Honolulu hospital on Wednesday afternoon with chest pains, sources told KITV.
Paramedics responded to the call at 2:41 p.m. at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
Limbaugh suffered from chest pains, sources said. Paramedics treated him and took him to Queen's Medical Center in serious condition.
He was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
The radio show host had been in the islands during the holidays. Coincidentally, his visit comes at a time when two of the nation's most powerful Democrats, President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are also staying in Hawaii.
It was a complete 180. I remember he was selling all his stuff. Kind of a big garage sale.
While listening to his show today (Mark Davis guest-hosting), I had a bad feeling that something like this might happen to the Rushie. Not sure why those thoughts crossed my mind...perhaps because I had a stress test done yesterday and all went well for me...just need to shed a few pounds. Today, I woke up in a great mood with a new appreciation for living and being in relatively good health...with that in the back of mind, I guess I stopped worrying about my health and started worrying about Rush’s or something...I really don’t think it was ESP or something like that... God only knows. Godspeed Rush. Get Well Real Soon...
Exactly.
ease up pal....just Lori is an angel.........find a peace but DO NOT attack her willy nilly again
I’ve had a number of friends receive medical care at Queens. It’s a topnotch facility.
Mrs. Kahuna and I send our love and prayers to you Rush.
Where are these people getting their tweets? I need to sleep but am afraid to leave the computer.
Rush is already lining up a new sponsor for the show. He'll be talking about current events and then he'll transition smoothly into a Pepcid commercial :)
Rush: "Folks, I've told you, if you want to back it up, use Carbonite. But if you don't want certain things to back up on you, try Pepcid!"
I was wrong.
My apologies...
FRegards,
I gotta give you five stars for that one!
EVERYBODY wears scrubs now. If it's really cold (over air-conditioned) they'll pull on a lab coat.
Let's hope for a better, much more calm 2010.
LOL!! That’s really funny. Thanks for the laugh on such a stressful thread!
Most ER docs where scrubs. As do us hospitalists at night. Also scrubs are worn by the cardiologists in the cath lab. Scrobs are worn many other places than the OR - I wouldn’t read anything into the apparel.
Havent seen them in a while. Wore my last two pairs down to the nubbins.
Same thoughts happened with me today around 2 pm eastern time.
RE: “CNN just gave a new report, but nothing new. Same as the original report.”
***************
He’s only been in hospital a few hours — they will run every test in the world on him. I know, I went to the ER with chest pain once and believe me, it gets their attention — and as a female, it was even more surprising.
I had EKG running constantly, prothrombin test, X-rays of the heart, nitroglycerin patch, and a line put in the arm just in case I needed other procedures requiring IVs.
End result, it was ‘nothing’ and I was released four hours later, shaky but OK. I guess it was a weird form of indigestion.
Just saying, Rush is being monitored nonstop and given every test available. Hopefully we will hear something within a few hours.
They are, and some are trying hard to be nice, but the hate stands out.
You might be right. OTOH, in most jurisdictions, some relevant call or run information is made available to the public - ie, patient sex and call address or location, possibly patient age, general condition and the response code for the return trip to the hospital, which might be described as casual, serious, critical etc. For instance, a broken arm might be a casual call, and a man with severe bleeding could be a critical call. That's how it works in my jurisdiction, FWIW.
Angels don’t attack other posters like that.
