Hoping to pull in some more cash for the final stretch of the general election, the Brown campaign also circulated a fundraising letter penned by former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R).
Romney touts Brown's credentials as a fiscal conservative while also noting, in bold, that he would become the critical 41st Republican vote against the health care bill when it comes back to the Senate for final passage. Democrats passed the bill on Christmas Eve with 60 votes, just enough to overcome the prospect of a GOP filibuster.

Romney doesn't have any control over one of them.

Romney wants to keep MA Pubbies—who weren’t thrilled when Romney promoted himself and dumped the party and the state—relatively happy for 2012?
(Of course, if Brown could win and his vote could keep Romneycare from going national, Mitt would have to be obliged.)
To: GeronL
Romney would tell you the Democrats bastardized his healthcare plan. Sadly, that does not pass the smell test and my memory is every Romney-care plan was unworkable and punished producers in favor of people sucking off the government teat. It was popular in Massachusetts at the time but totally objectionable to every American across the country.
But, your question is probably rhetorical anyway.

Whats the difference between ObamaCare and RomneyCare anyways? One is promoted by a liberal whose most dedicated followers see as a deity, and the other........ heck, never mind.

Ultimately, yes. In the mean time we have to individually
contemplate ways around this debacle.
I cannot believe this could survive a US Supreme Court challenge, but other bills have in the past so I will not wait for that to happen.

They are saying this is a safe state for RATS. That really means they can steal it if it turns out otherwise in order to ensure a win. Don’t let them. Volunteer to be a Republican overseer in RAT districts that haven’t had a republican there in years!

Interesting with Romney jumping in here after news the NRSC wouldnt back Brown...whats the angle??... RINO Romney is trying to proof his conservative creds. It's another shady move by a guy who really should be a Democrat.

Yep, like campaign finance reform. It is unconstitutional but allowed to stand That’s exactly what frightens me over this healthcare debacle.
OTOH, we did not have Justice Roberts then. I will hope for the best but anticipate the worst.
