You're absolutely right - we should stop using oil today; that way the Saudis will have to deal with lower oil prices. We should ape the North Koreans - adapt our gas tanks to burn firewood and adjust to 10 mph cars. The benefit of lower oil revenues is that the Saudi monarchy will fall to bin Laden. When bin Laden takes over in Saudi Arabia, we can finally fight a war against all 1 billion Muslims that we've been hankering for - in the process of conquering the holy (to Islam) cities of Mecca and Medina.
When you finally decide that you are fighting a war - do it.
If it takes the whole nation to bear the costs then do it. Our heroes should not be the only ones suffering in this PC war with one hand tied behind their backs.
Drive the Saudis back to the desert. The funds will dry up and the enemy will be defeated more easily.
And yes at some point strategically dropped bomb on Mecca will help too. It has worked before you know. AND read some history. Wars are NOT WON in the way we are conducting them today.
