I think its definitely a connection to the “blue moon” just about now, and moon phases can have effects on the tides and even earthquakes.

Volcanoes, a lot of recent volcanic activity.

My cousins (about 20 of them) are in Glamis (have been for over a week now) and they were immediately texting me for information. They said it shook there for over 30 seconds. With the amount of booze flowing in and around their camps, even at that hour, I wouldn’t doubt that for a second. LOL

I’m in San Diego near Kearny Mesa and I didn’t notice a thing. Neither did a co-worker sitting near me. I’ve heard people in Mission Valley felt it, which is basically downhill from where I’m at.

“Ditto. I’m out by I-5/Genessee. Felt nothing. I was surprised to hear it mentioned on KOGO and see the 5.9 on the earthquake map. It was located 106 miles east of Tijuana, 22 miles south of the border near Calexico. “

I am in the Imperial Valley and this was one heck of a long continuous temblor. One of the worst that I have felt because of the strength and duration. Knocked a lot of stuff off my shelves and I have never seen a window bow so much without shattering. I know it’s cool to say it didn’t bother but this one frightened me.

Gotta go and check my underwear.

I think the media reports make it look like they all left last night, but in fact this article suggests its been weeks.
