Looking at the reported conditions for California ...post #22.

I don't seen anything but light snow and that was at Truckee.

Mt Shasta has a snow flake indicating a weather statement.

I’m a few miles from the Oregon border. All the freeway was closed last night. It may be open now, not snowing at the moment.

May be someone could trick him into wearing the firecracker they found on the guy on the airplane.

Got a cold map of Colorado? My snow has been on the ground for over a month.

This is an early visit by the Siberian Express. We haven't had one of these for several winters. And they usually arrive in mid-January to February.

I use that one all the time anyway. The coldest place I have ever been is Mo. 23 degrees, 7mph wind and 100% humidity was colder than hunting in 20 below.

We haven’t even got the tax bill yet and those liberals have fixed it. Amazing! Where do I send my check?

I saw a chart like that yesterday on the stock market, I think. I didn’t understand that one either. ;^)

Well, here in the northwest Piedmont of North Carolina, we still have snow on the ground from two weeks ago, an unusually large accumulation for any time of year, let alone December, when snowfall is rare. Had a White Christmas for only the third time in my forty-plus years.

We have a Gulf pattern that has set in, hitting every Thursday and Friday. It gave us that 5” - 8” snowfall a week before Christmas, it gave us freezing rain Christmas morning, and it’s forecast to give us freezing rain, sleet and possibly light snow starting late tonight.

If this pattern holds up, and it does appear to be, combined with unusually cold air, I’d say it’s going to be an unusually snowy winter, not just here but all the way up the east coast. Those Gulf storms have a tendency to form nor’easters off Cape Hatteras, as was the case with our early snowstorm, the same one that dumped feet of snow from the NC mountains all the way up.

Here is one from last week. My computer must have rebooted because none of the threads I had open the past few days are highlighted today.
