Sadly, the fact that the plane did not blow up makes it less convenient for them. If it had blown up, I predict they would have claimed faulty landing gear or something else and it would have been a closed case.
Yep, they would have done everything in the world to deny that it was a terrorist attack. Obumbler was ticked that the terrorist was caught instead of blowing the airplane up.
