Man named Skyler = douchebag
Failing to show the receipt in this case meant the difference between 10 seconds and five years.
LOL! To hell with that! He DISSED me!
***Usually happens when you buy a CD or DVD and take it to the front counters.***
I’ve been dinged several times while leaving the store. I show the receipt and go on my way with no problem. It is usually something from the electronic isle that sets off the dinger.
Except when I bought a bag of ice at the counter (Silver City, NM) then picked it up on my way out of the store. No one called me back so I went on my way. I had the receipt ready to show someone but no one showed up.
This is what the legendary Bob Grant would refer to as "serving notice upon society."
ML/NJ
I too wuld not have stopped for an alarm-I’d let the store folks call the police if they desired while I go about my business. My right from unreasonable search and seizure applies to the authorities, not a proprietor. Store employees, security or otherwise, may not control my actions w/o my permission, which I nor any reasonable person should not give.
If the store alarm system is not operated properly, that is not my problem. As a law-abiding, moral person, I would not have stolen anything and I check my receipt before leaving a cashier to insure all the items I purchased are on the receipt..
The idiot went way wrong by a) returning to the store for whatever reason, b) assaulting the store employee, even worse since the victim was an elder person-meant to be respected, not assaulted.
In my view, this sort of behavior indicates that the perp is less than a Person....but then again I'm just another one of those "Evil, Right-Wing Etremists" that we all keep hearing about so I'm given to understand that my opinions don't count.
Undoubtedly the perp will make up a claim that he acted in self defense because the greeter was a racist and said "the N-word" to him. Hopefully Florida Justice will not be thwarted by that sort of ruse.
“Too old to be punched in the head by a customer who exception to Bauman’s questions.”
I’m sure that the word ‘took’ is missing. Should be between ‘who’ and ‘exception’...
Makes my day that this punk was arrested and likely will be found guilty. He’ll have a very difficult time finding a decent job for the rest of his pathetic life.
“The guy went to his car before coming back into the store, the odds are he dumped whatever set off the alarm in the car.”
Good point. They should have done a car search. If I’m on the jury Skyler is guilty.
Did they check the car? He went to the car and then came back before attacking the Greeter. How do we know that he did not dump a stolen item in the car and the come back?
After watching the video all I can say is I hope that Skylar isn’t out procreating.
Punk.
I'm delighted that you liked the story :-)
Too bad that all too often follow-up stories are never done....it certainly would be interesting to learn what actually happens to this trash.
You're absolutely right, its happened to me. I immediately turned around and walked back to the self service cashier and ended the problem.......altho there was no problem.
Some people just go thru life with a chip on their shoulder wanting their ass kicked I guess.........Idiots choose WalMart greaters......LOL!
“The alarm was false and Lowery had a receipt for everything in his bag.”
I doubt it. Did they check the parking lot? I bet Skyler ditched whatever he stole.
Since it appears that the perp was arrested on the spot on a felony charge, I believe that the standard procedure would be to tow the car to the impound lot after it's been searched.
The details of what, if anything, were found in the car may not have made it into the story for a variety of reasons...the poorly-written article suggests that 'reporter laziness' may well be among them.
Yesss.
notice were ‘numbnuts’ car is parked. Not in the parking lot but in a red zone. He is an idiot looking for trouble.
