I don’t expect Ben Nelson will run for reelection in 2012. He can’t recover from his sell-out.

Correct me if I am wrong,but I think he will, ultimately,vote against the bill when it only takes 50 votes to pass it. Then he will claim he changed his mind, even though his cloture vote was the crucial vote. It is a bald-faced lie but one he will make.
I’m not embarassed since I did not believe him in the first place. I’ve been PO’d with him from the start and have no love for the “prominent” republicans in the state who threw their support to Nelson.
Heh, and doing it while watching soaps, too. :-P
It’s not going to matter now. The people of Nebraska have woken up about this guy. I don’t see there’s anything he can do now that will salvage his political career (that’s why I don’t expect he will run for reelection).

Yup. All the ABC soaps (All My Children, One Life To Live & General Hospital). I’m also the “resident historian” on IMDb of the old ABC soap, “Ryan’s Hope.” I don’t have the same screenname there, but you can tell from the long essays there analyzing the psychology of the characters which one is me. ;-D

I'll bet he was told by the time ObamaCare was up and running, people would love it. That's a lie. But dems feel the ends justify the means - and the "end" here is power for dem elites. Nelson's not "elite" enough - he's just gonna lose...
Thanks to the wonderful 17th amendment, that power has been removed from state legislatures.
CBS axed a second soap, too, “As The World Turns.” I see some bits and pieces of “The Young And The Restless” if I’m watching SoapNet in the evening (and some “Days of our Lives”, too). I also protested the vicious firing of cutie Sabine Singh from AMC in a thread on her that keeps getting bumped to the top (a thread I started). I’ve also done various updates, corrections, etc. for older sitcoms and other shows. I’m an old school tv junkie, probably not something to brag about... ahem.
I’m an AFOL, too, but you gotta look that up on Google. :-P
Maybe he already decided not to run again in 2012 before this? Or else he overestimates himself which is very possible.
