FM, that would take...balls and brains...both sorely lacking in the GOP.
“Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me”
Cornyn and Steele are both colossal failures at their jobs.. of RNC and RNSC.
You hit those nails on their heads!
They buried our balls with Lee Atwater.
You’re right, and the GOP is being penny-wise and pound-foolish. Brown is a credible candidate.
What would make anybody believe a conservative could win anything in a hopeless toilet like Massachusetts? Do we really need to review the numbers? Or should I say, “the number”? That number is ZERO. There are ZERO Republican Senators or House representatives from Massachusetts, and the last stray GOP representative was elected over a decade ago, and that was a rare anamoly. Even the state legislature is so Democrat dominated that Republicans are sent outside to the porta-potty when they have to “go”.
Sorry, but I can’t blame the GOP for not wanting to waste precious resources in Massachusetts.
The Dem-Republican Good Cop-Bad Cop con routine is the longest running, most successful play of that con anywhere in the world.
The real game is DC versus Flyover Country. It doesnt come to an end until all in Flyover Country finally get it. IMHO, they are just starting to wake up.
There’s a chance to win this seat. If the RNC cannot get behind their party’s nominee for the “Kennedy Seat”, for both the 41st vote and the complete devastation factor against the Rats, they suck, bigtime.
Coakley is not liked here. The 41st vote in the Senate stops Obamacare. That’s the number one reason to go all all out to win the seat.
Flyover country will help save us (if that can be done at this stage).
He’s a good looking guy - so what? His cazzo isn’t hanging out.
I’d fund him.
:-)
I’d fund him.

“Im about 98% sure that I read somewhere that GWB had a deal with Nelson not to run a strong challenger in 2006, because he worked with him on taxes, WOT and judges.”
That is revolting and infuriating.
Anyhow I forgot the new MA Senator may be in place before the final vote on Obama care that alone makes this a race of paramount importance. `
You can’t win by not trying. They haven’t tried to a federal race win in MA since at least 1998 when one of the incumbents ousted in 1996 ran again. I’m not sure but I don’t think the NRCC gave much mind to Jim Ogonowski in that special election a couple years ago. He lost by 6 points.
The Nelson deal was a very bad one. Maybe the Bushes don’t have the street fighter instinct in them? The GOP has been missing a spine since Lee Atwater died, IMO.
RE: ObamaCare. Brown winning should kill this monsterous bill off.
Jim Ogonowski should consider running again. Tsongas is inept and useless, even by Massholechusetts standards.
Lt,
Glad to hear your giving support to Scott I honestly think he wants to down play the election himself.I know he just trying to reach independents and republicans, and I’ve talked to some people who hve been phone calling and they say the response has been really positive.
Democrats and young people only vote in “hip” or MTV or highly publisized elections. There are a lot of people like you and I out there who are absolutley pissed and can’t wait to vote.
I’m going to work for the campign after the first of the year and I have never ever worked for one in my life or
ever wanted to....He going to win.Mark my words.
I dontated to the campaign—not a first, but almost. And I am nearly 50—so I am “invested” in the race. While not one to pick up a phone and call, I am one to express myself and point out what is possible to many, many people.
I will be more vocal as the day draws near.
Lets just hope that he gets some traction from places other than Howie.
Is there anything in the Constitution that prohibits an ex-president from being elected VP?
If not, if said ex-president was elected twice would that make him/her ineligible to be elected VP?
I’m not entirely sure, since that’s not spelled out clearly. However, the problem is that if a former two-term President decided to accept a VP slot, he’d have to be prepared to serve as President in case of something happening to his running mate, in which case, his succeeding him would seemingly be a violation of that Constitutional Amendment. If he was able to serve out 8 years as VP without having to step in, then it should be Constitutional. It’s a bit of a grey area.
I thought so.
The reason I ask is that I have my crystal ball out and wonder if there could be a Hillary Clinton/Bill Clinton ticket to challenge Barry 0 in 2012.
I put nothing past any Rat...
