Senator Max Baucus not drunk on Senate Floor (He was really just tired and angry alert)
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | December 28, 2009

Posted on 12/28/2009 6:00:46 AM PST by Zakeet

There's a video going around that claims Montana Senator Max Baucus is drunk on the floor of The Senate as he spiritedly takes on Mississippi Senator Roger Wicker in a talk about Health Care Reform.

In fact, the video that started the Conservative's nasty attack on Baucus is from Think Progress, which pointed to Baucus' articulate claims of Republican partisanship"

I want to tell the Senator that that is not what happened. I was in the room constantly, constantly. I talked to those Senators many many times. That is not what happened. I'll tell you what did happen. Your leadership pressured them, pressured them, pressured them not to work together. There is no European style effort in that room, that is a totally untruthful statement. Totally untruthful statement. None whatsoever...That assertion of working towards a European solution is entirely untrue. It's entirely false.

Now, if you can read that, and you can, then you have to agree Baucus was not "slurring" or "drunk" , or "slobbering" when he was speaking. Otherwise he could not have got off such a great blast against Wicker.

And Conservatives know it.

Rather, Baucus was just plain tired and really angry. The product of long hours of debate against Republicans who just don't play fair at all.

This lock step commie would be wise to admit he was drunk, otherwise he cannot cover up him stupidity.

This critter in office doesn’t speak well of the voters of Montana.

How hard of work is being a Senator? The kind of work that has you hauling bricks to three different masons, setting up scaffolds and mixing mortar? The tired of hanging drywall all day, loading a 100 lb sheet on you head, then reaching up to screw it in place? How about as hard as standing on your feet all day in a dept store, smiling and saying “happy holidays” to crabby and nasty customers?...I think not, he works maybe 2 hours a day, eats fabulous dinners, has no children to get ready for school, or sew a costume for the “holiday pageant”. He has his servants, otherwise known as assistants shop for him, buy him his booze, and even mix the drinks. He doesn’t know what work is, as a matter of fact, chances are he never did....or will. He deserves the fate of the French during their revolution.....and I went 50 years thinking that the French had it wrong.....sarcasm off....or is it?

This guy's mind couldn't even tell him he's saying the same thing over and over and some words incoherent. I see him as drunk; however, if not, there is something wrong w/the brain that can't deliver proper signals. Now what I think is funny is that if you can't see something was amiss (besides the obvious lies), you think it doesn't exist.

The guy was a true embarrassment and one of the rats should have interceded somehow; but perhaps they did and Backus couldn't even pick up on those signals.

Lenin said, “The capitalists will sell me the rope with which I will hang them.”

For once he told the truth.

Like Russia in 1917, the American capitalists of 2009 are throwing big bucks and favors at their executioners.

He wasn’t drunk. He just got sick from swallowing a bad ice cube, as Howie Carr would say.

They enabled Teddy Kennedy to murder a mistress while in a drunken stupor - he never served a minute in prison. ON EARTH.

He's gotten his just reward in heaven. Bet he was a bit surprised!

Shame on Baucus for getting drunk and attacking the Republicans for not being ‘bipartisan’ when after all, Max’s party WON the elections.

Imagine being a lying, drunken whoremonger.

But I repeat myself!

Baucas took his girlfriend globe trotting on your dollar.

Now he’s drunk at work.

How great it is to be a powerful politician. :D

Both Republican and Democrat voters are signing petitions in Montana to remove Baucus.

His behavior of arrogance is more than those in Montana are willing to take any longer.

San Francisco Chronicle would support the worst human in the world, as long as they had a D next to their name.

Remember the “Rush Smear Letter” that Reid pushed and Rush sold for charity?

Kennedy signed it and there was apparetly a scotch or wiskey stain next to his signature...

Did Baccus sign it too?

I can’t view this. What is the consensus of those who’ve seen it? Was he drunk?

He’s a democrat, so he’s a liar. His spittlefest on the Senate floor was just that of a lying drunk, not just a democrat. NAd of course the media will now rush to try and cover his drunken lying spittlefest. Typical
