Must be heard at a decent volume to be fully appreciated:

Ping.
Ummm...not so much. Turned up the volume to 75% and blew out a speaker and an eardrum.
You might want to check your PC's sound system.
Most distinct thing I could make out was “allahu akbar” which is and always will be a terrorist cry in my book.
bttt
Sorry about your speaker, hope you’re kidding about the ear drum. but I didn’t say that you should crank your system all that way up, just wanted to make sure that the volume was up enough to catch all the “layers” of voices from all sorts of different distances. This was no mere recording of a head shot over a crowd, or even the sounds of a neighborhood, tose were the voices of a vast city.
Well, it’s a noisy neighborhood.
Thanks
Thank you, that was great to hear. Some of the readers of this thread may no realize that the tradition in Iran is to yell from the roofs at night, when they won’t be caught, and all of those sounds are in opposition to the government. It’s like yelling “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore” except they could be arrested if they yelled it in the sunlight.
The sound of freedom about to be born.
No worries. I was kidding and mostly concerned that you couldn't hear it without turning it up since the volume was more than sufficient at low level for me.
Thanks for the cultural explanation of the shouting from the rooftops at night.
Let’s hope patriots arise in the morning to dethrone the mullahs and help Achmadinajab meet the 12th Imam in person in hell.
Think Romania, December 1989.
When their dictator heard the crowd jeer at him, he knew it was all over except the execution.
