You should always buy cooking oil in a natural food store. Spectrum is a good brand. Supermarket cooking oil is solvent extracted except for olive oil. They use oil based solvents to get the last bit of oil out of corn, soy, rape seed, safflower etc. Spectrum uses zero solvents to extract its cooking oils.
Whole Foods is a rip off. We have an independent here with one large store and he undercuts them on everything. Plus he has a much better vitamin & supplement section. Unfortunately he is a bit further than Whole Foods... ... But I patronize him before Whole Foods
