apparently that airport in Amsterdam does not screen very well plus it is a big jumping off airport for USA
PLUS the airplane is in Canadian airspace until right before descent
PLUS all the muzzies in Detriot, easier to gather a muslims crowd to protest unfair treatment of terrorists

Detroit is not the target. It’s home of the largest Arab population in the country. It is the North American home of radical Muslims. A good chunk of native born Detroiters have been converted and radicalized as well. While being oppressed by the man in prison.

Why is Detroit being targeted? That way, if the attack is unsuccessful, Al Qaeda can still point to the pictures of Detroit and the attack will still look like a success.

"Why is Detroit being targeted?" It's probably not that Detroit is being targeted, but Detroit does have a very large Muslim population. Perhaps the terrorists figure taking flights to a city with a large Muslim community would raise fewer red flags.
