I love swatting ‘RATS as much as the next FReeper, but I’d look before I lept on this one. The slurred speech could be from a speech impediment or neurological condition (e.g., a mild stroke or Parkinson’s disease) and if so, we’d look like jerks. I’d suggest getting some corroboration before attacking him as a drunk.
(Of course, if does have a neurological condition and has been concealing it from his constituents, the coverup is a legitimate issue.)
I watched Baucus for hours during his committee’s discussion of the bill. He has no speech impediment. Stop making excuses for these jerks who are drunk on power.
