Kucinich: Generals who spoke publicly on Afghan strategy should lose their jobs By Jordan Fabian - 12/26/09 10:30 AM ET

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) this week said that U.S. generals who spoke publicly about the nation's Afghan strategy during the president's deliberations should lose their jobs.

Kucinich, who is known for his anti-war views, told Russia Today in an interview Wednesday that Congress should be making the final decision on whether to go to war, not the president or his generals.

“Some of his generals made remarks publicly, which is really unheard of," he said. "You know, generals are subordinate to the president who is the commander-in-chief. He’s the boss. And when generals start trying to suggest publicly what the president should do, they shouldn’t be generals anymore."

Kucinich's comments come weeks after he introduced a resolution in Congress calling for American forces to withdraw from the war-torn country.

I’m pretty sure those generals were and are prepared to “go” rather than linger under the command of an incompetent putz who is indifferent to them sending their men into death for nothing except his image

Other than congress, some patriots don’t see losing their jobs as the worse thing that could happen

The curious silence of the left’s favorite general, Colin Powell, continues, doesn’t it?

—and if Bush had done some of the things Lincoln did( see Clement Vallandingham) Dennis would no longer be a Congressthing and we’d be much better off—however any action by Bush similar to that would have resulted in his removal from office-—

Then shouldn’t Government Employees lose their job for making deliberate false or misleading statements. or how about passing blatently unconstitutional laws, or how about federal employees failing to pay federal taxes......

What a freakin’ idiot. Why doesn’t he just suggest that a political commissar be assigned to the generals to “advise” as they make strategic military decisions? He thinks Hussein’s fragile ego is more important than the conduct of the war where the troops are.

He is somewhat confused! The war is already being waged. The only issue was tactics and strategy. Those are specifically NOT the purview of Congress even though the congresscritters like to stick their noses into it.

Sorry pal, time to wake up and smell the coffee. Bush never did such a thing because he was too committed to 'reaching across the aisle' in that grand spirit of bipartisanship that all RINOs are famous (or infamous) for.

Bush failed to defend his Administration and his policies, and allowed his political adversaries to define them instead and that is why the GOP lost big in 2006 *and* 2008.

Merry Christmas.

BTW: Congress stick their noses into running military engagements by threatening to cut off funding. This is the only control that they can exert. It would be interesting to hear the history of Congresses which have passed enabling resolutions followed by threats to defund. I suspect that this is primarily a modern liberal strategy.

When the CIC refuses to make a decision for a quarter of a year, he is beyond incompetent.

We lost a lot of good kids while obama sat on his hands ignoring his duty, at that point it becomes an officers job to speak up and out to protect his troops.

generals are subordinate to the president who is the commander-in-chief. He’s the boss.

Being the boss and being a leader are two different things. It is the commander-in-chiefs job to LEAD the military. And if Obama isn't up to par as a LEADER then someone else in the military has to fill the void.

We can't have a leaderless military. Kucinich wants a military that consists of a bunch of yes men generals supporting a guy with a title of leader that can't lead. Recipe for disaster.

Kucinich is an endless source of embarrassment for the entire North East Ohio community, but especially for those of us fortunate enough to live in his district.

The ONLY way by which this nation will be saved before the Soros/Obama Axis completes its plan of destruction is to run ALL the Obama Democrats and RINOs OUT OF MALFUNCTION JUNCTION.

HERE’S ANOTHER RINO WHO NEEDS TO GO IN 2010: BOB INGLIS, SC 4TH!

READY TO CLEAN HOUSE IN 2010?

CHRISTINA JEFFERY (http://christinajeffrey.com/index2.html) is running for Congress from the SOUTH CAROLINA 4th against 5TERM INCUMBENT (that’s 10 YEARS!) BOB INGLIS (http://www.gradegov.com/representative.php?id=190&name=representative_bob_inglis).

Bob FLUNKS with a D MINUS per GRADEGOV.COM.

I can assure you that Christina will be an A+ out of the gate — and will stay that way until this mess is cleaned up.

But, say you, I don’t LIVE in Christina’s district. You probably don’t live in the district allegedly “represented” by Her Imperial Lowness QUEEN Nancy Pelosi, or Maxine Waters, or Henry Waxman, or (until November anyway) Harry Reid’s Nevada. If you don’t think THEIR activities impact you? Think again.

All these folks vote on issues affecting us all so even if you live elsewhere, send CHRISTINA as many bucks as you can and spread the word among your family and friends.

LET’S CLEAN HOUSE IN 2010!
