HONOLULU – Amid a federal investigation into an attempted terrorist attack on Christmas Day, President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama visited with service men and women who were having dinner Friday afternoon at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii.
The Obamas spent about half an hour in the mess hall shaking hands with Marines and their families as they ate traditional holiday fare of turkey, ham, stuffing, corn and broccoli.
“Hi guys, Merry Christmas,” President Obama said as he entered the mess hall from a side door.
The president and the first lady went from table to table, reaching roughly a dozen, asking Marines where they were from and thanking them for their service.

Absolutely. He knows he doesn’t have the money to build the civilian army he wants. He also knows if he tries that crap right now all hell is going to break loose. But this was just a photo op to try to help his miserable poll numbers. If you look at the pics the marines at the other tables aren’t even paying any attention to him. They are snubbing him.

I buy clearance cover ups like she has on to use when doing medical careproviding.
The room I work in is very hot due to machines running and if I get body fluids (being tactful here) on me I just toss it in the wash and pull another off the shelf.
On a good Women withen clearance sale I can get quite good stock of em as low as $5 bucks each and they take many washes well.
However I would not be causght in public with such a frock on.
Actually keep a dress by the vendor door to put on over to cover up.
I bet she had thongs on too.

I think if Michelle truly saw more than her arms in the mirror and looked at the overall balance problem and over leisure mode she might rethink her fashion flupahs.

That’s a nice compliment...I know this is going to sound strange, but...I really don’t like having to do this kind of thing.
It isn’t in my nature to be this way.
It is almost as if I have given up logically talking about aspects of this president’s behavior, because logic just doesn’t reach people about this man anymore.
Having grown up as a military brat and served four years in the USN under the only other president I can think of who might be just as bad (Carter) I feel that I can understand at least some aspects of military outlook...and I doubt they enjoy being used as a photo-op by a Marxist/racist/socialist/anti-American man who does not have their well being or that of their country and Constitution they have sworn to defend, at heart.
With all of Bush’s faults, the military understood that he respected what they did for a living, and didn’t present a big grin and use them for political photo-op purposes while thinking behind his facade that their job was evil in nature, being carried out by a bunch of dumbasses who only joined the military because they couldn’t do anything else.
Because that is what Obama and people like him think.

Oh, no question it is poll driven; and think Rahm and Dave tally the polls daily to determine what path Obama should walk on any given day.
And yes, do think 2010 too far away for us to imagine we can pin our best expectations on elections. We are in the midst of many frickin scary scenarios, unfolding. . .
