I’d like to poll the audience, here....

How many fights have you been involved in on an international flight?

One, for me.....

Never. And intermational flights are sort of a part of my life...

I was being patted down for the SECOND time getting on a flight four years ago when 3 muzzies were waived onto a plane right in front of me and the two nitwits turning my pockets inside out. I said to them that NO ONE had checked them out...and that they had been acting strangely...nothing weird, but something off center...the two geniuses said they would look into it...I was talking very loud...I’m understating it...and got a hard look from one of the rag heads... I said, yeah, I’m talking about you, tough guy” (or words to that effect) but still managed to get the attention of the flight crew onto them instead of me (though it was touch and go)...they took them back off the flight after they threw me some hand gestures and I boarded, laughing.

They did not get on before we took off. Never heard another word. The two knuckleheads going over me threatened to keep me in a holding cell and I told them I wasn’t getting on that plane anyway if they weren’t checking those three out...they were “suspicious” enough in my book...

That was my only brush with anything like that and I also qualify this by saying I have logged just under a million mile (US only) in the past 10-12 years...American Airlines, mostly, which this flight was...

Back in 1970 I was supposed to catch a KLM flight from Amsterdam to NY but it was hijacked by Yasser Arafat...does that count?

One for me too. Emergency landing, for some possibly drugged-up nut-job. This was before 9/11. After wrestling with this guy for fifteen minutes, and then the airport interview with security, it made it the longest flight of my life. Ugh.
