Increasingly unloved and ridiculed from both sides, a new and embittered President Obama is emerging this Christmas season as he begins a badly needed vacation in Hawaii.
In an interview on the eve of yesterday's health-care ram-through, Obama expressed his deep frustration over the legislative process.
The president accused Republicans of abuse for employing the very rules that make the Senate the "world's greatest deliberative body."
"If this pattern continues, you're going to see an inability on the part of America to deal with big problems in a very competitive world, and other countries are going to start running circles around us," Obama warned.
What he is saying is that other governments around the world -- those tyrannical states that do not share our respect for the minority -- are better forms of government, better equipped to compete in this modern world.

Good point.
Obama won last year's historic election by rising above that nonsense.
What a confusing piece.
The guy contradicts his main point at the end of the article.
Hussein is out to destroy America from the inside. His actions have proven it, and the accusation is hardly "nonsense."
I made a FR comment here several days ago about the sumbitch being LAZY. Never produced jack anywhere he’s been - all hot air whilst ‘organizing communities’. Hot air ain’t a product, IMHO. The turd couldn’t even write his OWN autobiography!
I suspect that’s why he and the Wookie wouldn’t be too disappointed if there is no second term. Being a good Chief Executive IS hard work, and they aren’t into HARD. The soft, cushy perks are pretty nice, tho.
Remember the Wookie’s comment to Barack on election night: “All our worries are over.” By which she meant an ex prez is set up for life with speaking fees (more hot air) and office/scurity subsidies.
The Obama fascination has obviously worn off to the majority of America.
And the only reason his caravan is still moving after its run out of gas is because its running downhill, when it runs out of momentum it will surely stop.
Right this minute he is sleeping in Hawaii, he has distanced himself from the Whitehouse and has distanced himself from America.
There is no way he can build up poll numbers unless he were to give every American in the US a $1,000 check. He thinks he can buy anything he wants and so far he has done just that.
A pattern of inability and confusion creeps everyone out.
Case in point:
"Carol Platt Liebau was first female managing editor of the Harvard Law Review;
It reminds me a little bit of my experience with him when he was president of the Harvard Law Review. You know, I hesitated to say a lot about this during the campaign because I really thought maybe it wasn't fair. That maybe, finally, when he got to be President, this would be a job big enough to engage and hold Barack Obama's sustained interest, because really, is there a bigger job out here?
[...]
[W]hen he was at the HLR you did get a very distinct sense that he was the kind of guy who much more interested in being the president of the Review, than he was in doing anything as president of the Review.
A lot of the time he quote/unquote "worked from home", which was sort of a shorthand - and people would say it sort of wryly - shorthand for not really doing much. He just wasn't around. Most of the day to day work was carried out by the managing editor of the Review, my predecessor, a great guy called Tom Pirelli whose actually going to be one of the assistant attorney generals now.
He's the one who did most of the day to day work. Barack Obama was nowhere to be seen. Occasionally he would drop in he would talk to people, and then he'd leave again as though his very arrival had been a benediction in and of itself, but not very much got done.
So, you know, you see that and you think, gosh, maybe that's the way the guy operates, hut then you figure ok, obviously he always had his eye on bigger and better things.
But now he's President...there really isn't a bigger or better thing."
I was, of course, being facetious.
If the kenyan is a Constitutional law professor then I’m Miss America.
And symptomatic of the problem are the surroundings Obama has chosen for his vacation. This is a vacation that most Americans could only dream of, and much of the cost is being borne by the taxpayer. I can understand his preference for Hawaii (over a place like Camp David), and I don't begrudge him some time off (as Democrats did with Bush), but while many Americans are in dire straights financially, Obama should not be imagining himself as royalty, and acting as if he were king.
An inability too deal with imaginary problems, Y2K, global cooling, global warming, climate change etc.???
Are you ready for a visit from 0bama’s Army? The 0ne will be mobilizing his drones in the new year. Be nice but BE READY. Meet them at the door with a camera - video is better. I personally will have my pistol on my hip.
Obama and his cronies made the huge mistake of assuming that simply because millions voted for him, they all share his socialist world view. The fact is most Dems love money and material possessions just as much as we so-called “greedy” Republicans. Unfortunately the semi-sane Democrats are not in control of their party.
Merry Christmas!
A speech here and there, and he's all set to sit on his ass in Hawaii.
I never thought I’d wish Hilary was president.
Rape is not an act of sex, it is an act of power and control and we are being raped.
Doesn't anyone SEE this ?
zero's a n bastard rapist and it wouldn't surprize me if he was a switch hitter, neither.
With all this mental derangement in power positions ...
The claim helped innoculate him early on, from issues his candidacy had, and his Presidency still has despite the wall of denial and derision, with Constitutionality.
It also added a degree of substance to a very thin resumé and a nonexistent personal history, outside of that ghostwritten work of fiction, Dreams Of My Father.
There was more to his rise than mere affirmative action. He was singled out and groomed. His past is being guarded to this day due to the influence of those who elevated him.
He's the very epitome of a Manchurian Candidate. It's not just partisan hyperbole to point that out. He's also not the most emotionally mature, nor the most emotionally stable individual, but is one with powerful delusions of grandeur, and one who has attained what is inarguably the most powerful position in the world today.
There actually is much to fear, not from the man himself, who will collapse like the house of cards that he is, but from the consequences of his actions, flailing on the way down, and the from the actions of those who put him in a position to be where he is in the first place.
