While it is the Christian duty to plead the cause of the poor, the Bible says that he that does not work shall not eat. People are supposed to provide for themselves when possible. And no where does it say in the Bible to give people free things if they will not work.

Already have health care for needy. Besides private charity (which is what Jesus prescribed, not government welfare), we have Medicaid and dozens of state versions.
Next trope please.

LOL! Like saying G-d would support stealing money, creating Death Panels, and destroying the greatest health care system in the world.
Liberals don’t get it. They never will.

IIRC, if you go into an ER with a life threatening condition, you will get care.
The bills getting batted around the Congress are not about health care they are trying to force us all to pay for health insurance. Care, you pay for when you get it. Insurance, you pay for whether or not you need care.
They are definitely not interchangeable words, so why in the Dickens are the media using them that way?
To confuse the issue.

How exactly does one pray against health care? How about..."Dear Lord, please obstruct the fascists from enslaving the American people and destroying the nation through the lie that they care for the poor."?

Dear Lord,
Please save my children and grandchildren from growing up in the police state Democrats are attempting to erect. Please let people understand that collectivism is a vile ideology that results from weak character low intellectual capacity. Turn people away from these knaves before they are able to do any more damage to a once great nation.
Amen

Jesus would personally administer health care, for free no less.
But in none of the Bibles I own did He command us to compel the government to do it.

How exactly does one pray against health care? How does "one" conclude that is what the prayer is?
A prayer against health care would be "a pox on all hospitals, doctors, nurses, and pharmacies!"
This is a rejection of the State (Caesar) usurping control of free individuals.
There is no charity in forced taxation.

You’re missing the WHOLE point of this so-called ‘Health-care’ issue.
It has NOTHING to do with ‘Health-care’. NOTHING.
Wise up to what our government is doing RIGHT before our eyes.
If you really care about the poor and want to follow Jesus’ model, FIND some poor people, get them to a doctor and pick up the tab. THAT is what He purposed for us to do.
An easier way is to give and volunteer at your local homeless shelter. They are everywhere. The poor ARE being served. We are just LAZY.
