A man suspected of taking hostages in a post office in the US state of Virginia has been arrested after a stand-off lasting several hours, police say.
Authorities in Wytheville persuaded Warren Taylor to give himself up and release three people he was holding.
Mr Taylor was reported to have entered the post office pushing a wheelchair and claiming to be carrying explosives.
He initially fired shots from the building but no-one was reported to have been injured.

Next they will ban wheelchairs?
I guess the BATFE and/or FBI HRT couldn't get there soon enough.
He didn’t actually work there? That’s a switch.
Nothing much happens around here, so this is a big time event. There hasn’t been so much excitement in our little town since our english teacher puked and us kids took sliding in it.
That’s because postal employees that “go postal” don’t like competition.
They banned guns ~ which means the employees don't have them ~ you betcha!
Don't count on it BTW.
On the other hand depending on the type of facility there are always going to be a remarkable variety of devices that could be used for self-defense or to kill an assailant. In some facilities there are devices that could be used to tear off limbs for example, and certainly plenty of stuff around to bash skulls, cut fingers, slash faces, etc. The fact this puke had a gun does present a problem but there are ways to deal with that.
Not really a switch. Far more attacks at/near post offices involve outsiders.
