Medina hails from south Texas. She owns a small business and from that standpoint maybe better than the others as to what business needs to prosper. She is also a protege of Ron Paul with limited statewide exposure which will be a big hill to climb for her to succeed in the primary.

Good comment. I spent ten years of my life in Texas and love the state, but you are right: the large cities have become Dim strongholds. Also look at the demographics, the Dim voting minorities are growing fast.

A very Conservative talk show host in Houston whom I greatly admire says if Medina has any chance at all to get on the ballot, she needs to run as an independent. She has no chance in the Republican corner except to play spoiler. Methinks he may be right. I’d vote for her if I knew she had a chance but I may have to take my clothes pin and barf bag in the booth and vote for Perry.

Apparently, Kay Baily was just funnin’ when she said she would resign her Senate seat to run for governor.

Yeah, "funnin'" is synonymous with "lying" in DC.

I’d be shocked if anyone in the country votes DEM by November.

I'd be shocked if lines aren't redrawn in favor of the RATs, amnesty given to all, ACORN fudging the vote, and thugs at the doors with baseball bats. Well, IF there's even an election by then.

You should study the history of the enviro whackos in the state plus all the libs that have infiltrated places such as Austin & now Houston. Liberalism is a cancer and no state

Egads, don't I know. Between them and the illegals I don't know how much longer we'll last. It's a sad, sad time in Texas and the US.

As for Medina, she's unproven. She's done nothing but put her name on the list. Big whoop, she's packin' on her website. Because we know nothing about her, she definitely could be put in merely to siphon off votes. Then there's her husband. Sorry, but we don't know his leanings either.

Until Sarah moves down here, Perry has my vote.

Perry is a good man and has shown himself as such.

2012 is a lifetime away. Getting through the next year is going to test all of us; possibly to the breaking point.

imho, we must seek those that will abide by the Constitution and frankly...it could be the Hunchback of Notre Dame as far as I'm concerned as long as the Constitution if followed. We have our 'work' cut out for us but I'm proud to be shoulder to shoulder with my fellow Americans.

I have been supporting Debra Medina for a good while now. I had her as a guest in my home to give a talk for a roomful of my neighbors and friends, and without exception, they are all backing her.

She talked for a bit over an hour, and held everyone's attention. She is one of the most conservative Constitution-knowledgeable people I have ever met.

I have her speech on video--wish I knew how to post it for all to see--but I don't have that expertise.

Who is the guy, with the mideastern sounding name, spending all the money running for Gov in Texas? What’s the story on him?

"Both Perry and Hutchison appear to be compromised candidates compared to Debra Medina..."

That would explain Perry's 46% poll numbers,vs Kay Barely Republican's 35%...

"Any comments on the track record, veracity and conservatism of Perry vs. Hutchison?"

Perry: Texas has the very lowest unemployment of a large state; Hutchison voted FOR CLOTURE on the "Obamacare" Bill! 'Nuff said

That’s Frank Shami imigrated to Houston from Palestine..... Multi millionaire and says he’ll use $10 million of his own but I don’t think he’ll even come close to defeating White for the democratic nomination.

Perry likes Palin and fully supports her. KBH says she “doesn’t know anything about her.” That pretty much sums it up for me.

Wow. I knew that Sarah endorsed Rick Perry, but I didn't know about KBH's snooty reply. Wow.
