Obama Lap Dogs To The Very End

Media: Following Senate passage of the most destructive legislation in U.S. history, the White House press secretary substituted a stand-up comedy act in place of a briefing — and no reporter seemed to mind.

With the thousands of pages passed by the U.S. Senate at 1 a.m. Monday available online, you'd think the press corps would have some questions for the president's spokesman about the Democrats' health care plans during the first White House press briefing since the vote, and also the last of the year. Instead, what we got from America's intrepid practitioners of First Amendment freedoms was a discussion about "a pink polka-dot shirt and a checkered tie."

A press conference that began with White House press secretary Robert Gibbs announcing that since "last week we did a sort of happy hour briefing," he thought "today we'd do sort of a brunch briefing," got more trivial — and insulting by the minute.

"What color are your socks today?" Gibbs asked one member of the press corps. Then it was on to the reporter "with the snappy blue tie and hopefully darker socks," as Gibbs described his attire.

Not long after that came a question that must have kept C-SPAN junkies on the edge of their seats: "Does the president support Senator Akaka's native Hawaiian government reorganization act, creating a native Hawaiian government within the state of Hawaii?"

There has not been ONE SECOND of useful reporting in the MSM during this entire sorry process.

Its all about counting noses & 'will Obama prevail?'.

Meanwhile the world's last best hope for individual liberty stands on the threshold of socialism.

To say I'm disgusted by them is a ridiculous understatement.

"A lap-dog press corps is of no value as Americans watch their freedoms stripped away.

Get a rope. Hang all the presstitutes. Now. The slow way.

America -- a great idea, didn't last.

America -- a great idea, didn't last.

You know, I remember you saying those exact words some months back. You're still saying it, and now you even have it in your tagline.

If you honestly have so little faith in the great people of this country, why do you continue to hang out on this forum?

Read Jim Rob's mission statements on the front page of FR. This isn't Doomed Republic. It's Free Republic. We still have the will to fight back here.

So, Tea Partiers are interogated but none of these presstitues have the ability to ask questions regarding a bill of this magnitude?

The Press is not just syncophantic; they are in collusion with these frauds.

Leave him alone. He has a point and you are to dense to understand it.

I myself have started to call myself a Hoosier. I used to call myself an American but the demoncraps have destroyed America.

Because the country as we knew it is dead.

But I retain some hope that we can rise up and revive it. But only some hope.

Ah... a fellow doomer. Sticking up for your brother who's busy sticking a fork in America.

"Dense", huh?

I'm not too dense to know cowardice and abetting the enemy when I see it. I have absolutely no respect for anyone who comes on this board and intentionally makes disparaging and demoralizing remarks about my country.

You want to roll over and give up, go right ahead. But don't come into a warrior camp and try to convince those who are still willing to fight, that "all is lost."

That sort of talk is one step away from treason.

Hold onto that hope, Clint. There is much reason for you to do so, even if you're having a hard time seeing it right now.

But please drop the demoralizing slogan. It's not helping the cause.

I’m not one to argue with the gurus at IBD, but, and begging their pardon, the 16th Amendment to the US Constitution was the single most destructive piece of US legislation, closely followed by the Federal Reserve Act.

Both the US Income Tax and the Federal Reserve came into being in 1913.

If Obozocare becomes law of the land, and the Supremes do not declare it unconstitutional, it will be #3 in the all-time most destructive list.

IMHO, of course.
