Reading through the Wiki write-up it does seek to make Stalin seen prescient, very politically astute, and quite aware of appearances.

Hmmm ~ naw, Stalin wasn't prescient, was a political thug, and actually didn't particularly care what others thought of him or his behavior ~ he killed people for no reason at all!

Why are the Wiki writers trying to rehabilitate this monster?

We can learn a lot from Stalin. he was colder than Ice in Antarctic. He wasn’t just a thug, thugs don’t stay in power long. He was manipulative and understood human nature. He was a shark in a tank of sharks. Had he been on the losing end of his political fights he would have shared Yezhov’s fate. The period in which he ruled has a lot of parallels to today. Obambi and his hangers on may not idolize him but admire him as do most on the left. One Lesson that climategate has for us is how similar it was to the effect Lysenko had on Soviet science during Stalin’s rule and how science is today corrupted by politics..
