Savings from Medicare touted by Democrats as a means to pay for the Senate health care bill were double-counted and the legislation will increase the deficit, not decrease it, a senior Republican senator said Wednesday, citing a new letter from the Congressional Budget Office.

Sessions and Gregg had a press conference on this, but unfortunately Fox News is focusing on Balloon Boy today.

I got lost in the details, but apparently, ONLY Florida gets to keep medicare advantage. IOW, Bill thinks he bought-off all the seniors in Florida.

As soon as I read about Senator Sessions’ discovery, I called Senator Coburn’s office and asked what they would suggest I could do about it.

The young lady said it was worth a shot to call other Senators’ offices, because some might actually record the call and pass it on to their senator, as Senator Coburn’s office does.

So, I called Senator Reid and waited on hold for more than 5 minutes. Unfortunately, my dog needed to go outdoors, and it’s so muddy here from the rains that I needed to take him out on the leash, so I had to hang up the call.

I suspect his phone staff is on overload today. More phone calls would be the last thing they think they need today, I’m sure.
