The Opposition: Douglas Holtz-Eakin (McCain was "willing to disappoint Republicans")
Newsweek / The Washington Post ^ | 2009-12-21 | Robert J. Samuelson

(snip)

SAMUELSON: If John McCain had won, would there be more bipartisanship?

HOLTZ-EAKIN: I think so. One reason is mechanical: it would have been a Republican president and a Democratic Congress. You have to operate in a more bipartisan fashion. It's also about style. McCain is more willing to disappoint Republicans than Obama is to disappoint Democrats.

ANYWAY, I hope J.D. Hayworth doesn’t weasel out on us and decline to run. He’s the only potential candidate of the moment who can take out Cap’n Strawberries. It’s our civic duty to see the man who refused to fight Zero defeated 100%.

I'm all for cap-and-trade, but not that bill

From McCain's economic advisor? Where did he find this guy, on obama's short list? That says it all. McCain is obama light.

Funny how McCain has recently found his conservatism — obviously, it wouldn’t have anything to do with his upcomming 2010 re-election fight. What a fake and fraud.

Palin isn’t going to help Hayworth, and depending on her level of support for McCain, could cause Hayworth to lose.

Two Manchurian candidates were our only choice. We would be in the same pickle now whether zer0 or Mc(in)Sane won. Sorroa$$ is the puppet master.

Isn’t as in can’t or as in won’t ? Regardless, Hayworth should proceed. McCain needs to be taken OUT.
