Senator Bernie Sanders: "They are (drug and insurance lobbyists) laughing all the way to the bank."

Hosts Mika, Lawrence O'Donnell & Mike Barnacle appear to note in an air of disgust that drug/insurance company stocks are up.

After Sanders Interview:

What is CUT from the MSNBC Morning Joe Interview with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) are the host's shared giddiness over Bernie:

Mika is so impressed with Saunder's honesty that she thinks she might just have "a crush on Bernie". Co-hosts, Lawrence O'Donnell (especially) and Mike Barnacle giggle about their "Man Crush" on Bernie.

No "leg tingles" this time, just an all out "crush on Bernie".
O'Donnell also added (and was cut) "The last honest senator left in Congress".

Joe Scarborough was said stuck at the airport.

Then why did he vote for cloture? It’s a bit late to whine about it now, Bernie.

Some Republicans have had a long, worshipful relationship with business over the years. Now the evidence is really piling up that business has never had any interest in mind other than its own bottom line. And they’ll be teaming up with Reid and Pelosi and Obama again whenever the next amnesty push begins. And quite a few big corporations are looking forward to cap and trade.

That is the first I have heard about the bill establishing "primary care clinics" nationwide. Sanders says these will serve 25 million Americans who formerly had no health care. He mentions that the program will result in training more doctors and nurses. Very interesting! I want to know more. This is what the whole health insurance bill should be about.

I have thought from the beginning the way to increase health care access for the "poor" is to establish local clinics - to provide tuition incentives to students training to be doctors, nurse practitioners and nurses. (Especially true of nurse practitioners, we could use a lot more of those). The military does this already - they pay for doctors (and nurses?) to attend med school in exchange for X number of years of service. Why wouldn't that work for neighborhood clinics? Pay the tuition costs in exchange for three or four years of service at a neighborhood clinic. People would have a choice - A)buy their own private insurance and have the opportunity to choose their own private practitioners and prescription providers or B)go to the free clinic for treatment and meds. Of course, you would probably have to wait in line at a clinic as opposed to a private doctor. But, as the old cliche says - "Beggars Can't Be Choosers". There should be penalties for anyone choosing to go to the Emergency Room when it is not a "true" emergency. If DEMS would take this approach, we would encourage a huge increase in the number of trained medical personnel.

The socialist philosophy is - no one person deserves a better health insurance plan than another. Let me emphasize, I did not say better health CARE, I said better INSURANCE! If a person works hard and makes a good living, that person should have the choice of purchasing a plan that happens to be better, maybe much better, than the plan available, for free, to the less fortunate.
