In your post you said, “What part of obvious do you think you aren’t?”

I guess you believe everyone has some sort of conspiracy against Sarah.

If you don’t believe Sarah can withstand some conservative poster’s opinion on Free Republic, how do you think she will stand up to the liberal media? I have more respect for her than you do if that’s the case.

You’re the one that was trying squash an opinion. If you cannot see that, there’s no further need to try to engage in intelligent conversation. I wouldn’t see that as possible with you.

That's YOUR problem and you get twisted because YOU can't see it.

If you don’t believe Sarah can withstand some conservative poster’s opinion on Free Republic,

Your remind me of the liberal media - you state things what YOU believe and accuse me of saying them!! How warped. WHERE did I say Sarah can't withstand...(anything). IT'S YOU that can't handle a conservatives' opinion! Your posts show that.

how do you think she will stand up to the liberal media?

Hey bucko! Time to get your head out of the sand - SHE ALREADY HAS! It's ONLY YOU who can't see it. You can't see something you don't want to.

If you cannot see that, there’s no further need to try to engage in intelligent conversation.

Your liberal talking points are old and not effective. I'm not looking from anything intelligent from you - just wanted to show your hypocrisy. And I did. Case closed. I'll leave you to rant on.

Sarah certainly can separate the wheat from the chaff for us here on FR.

She certainly can, though probably not in the way you seem to think.

Just because I am not certain Sarah is the best choice means I am using liberal talking points. You really don't have a freakin' clure about me. To make the statements that you've made confirm that you're an absolute idiot. Please seek professional help.

I do have one final comment I would like to add.

I went back and read your replies to others. I thought several were a little obnoxious and rude.

With me you read between the lines when there wasn’t anything between the lines. The manner in which you initially replied to me was rude.

Politically, I think we agree on most things. However, your style won’t do much to bring people to your way of thinking.

Personally, I just think you’d be more successful in getting your message across if you showed a little more class.

That’s all I will have to say other than Merry Christmas to you.

What is the most important quality for a politician to have?

Think big here—something that can transcend the usual political process and bring overwhelming political victory.

Hint: it’s not among the typical list of requirements.

"What is the most important quality for a politician to have?"

The most important quality is that of an effective and persuasive communicator. The other almost equally important qualities are competence and perseverance.

If you can't successfully articulate your policy positions, no one will either understand or listen to your ideas. If you're perceived as intellectually inferior or incompetent, your ability to communicate is moot, as no one will care what you're saying anyways. And, if people think you might quit in the middle of the job that you're interviewing for, you probably won't get hired in the first place.

Those are the most important qualities for a successful candidate to have.

Like the current liar in chief we have right now and the incompetent but articulate Congress?/s

"The other almost equally important qualities are competence and perseverance."

Half the Country thinks she is competent because she was an effective Governor. And somehow or another she is persevering despite you and the lefts rejections and attacks. Pity for you.

"Those are the most important qualities for a successful candidate to have.

Amazingly shallow...the person you describe could easily be a petty criminal determined to destroy us...with no morals and no compass as the most important qualifications.

I get it. You want to follow someone who doesn't speak very well and who isn't too bright. That says much more about you, than it does about me.

America fell in love with our current President. I don't want to be a part of group that falls in love with his challenger. I judge politicians based on effectiveness and intellectual ability, not blind emotion.

I want to follow someone who has the Conservative platform down. And where do you get off saying she is not bright? She is a University grad and was an effective Governor...she is the only person “bright enough” to get Obama to change course right now.

I'd say she has you beat by a mile, but I don't give out the intelligence exams. I don't know where you got your information about her IQ tests....maybe you can talk to Tina Fay at Saturday Night Live again.

That’s not what I meant. Now let’s look at this carefully.

For the sake of perspective, how about we start from the opposite end, and define what is the worst quality a politician can have—that quality which perpetuates the most problematic aspect of politics?

Or, would you prefer to have someone who speaks much more eloquently and persuasively than the average American, especially considering how critical effective communication skills are in that job?

Just wondering if you saw Palin's speech at the Republican convention or her debate with Joe Biden? She has extraordinary communication skills. On par with Obama. Have you read her editorials in the Washinton Post, etc. Her writing is clear and logical.

Yes she has had some gaffes, but no more than Obama, Biden, Pelosi, etc. The MSM simply does not report those to the masses.

“I judge politicians based on effectiveness and intellectual ability”

Are you unaware of Palin’s effectiveness, politically and in terms of legislative victory?

Why post comments about her if you don’t know these things?

"Just wondering if you saw Palin's speech at the Republican convention or her debate with Joe Biden?"

I did. You realize that was a speech that was written for her, right? I did watch the debate. I thought that they were both horrible. Fortunately or unfortunately, it wasn't me that Palin had to impress; It was the 30-40 million people who were watching - a clear majority of whom thought Biden was the clear winner of the debate. If you can't mop the floor with Joe Biden during a debate, you've got some problems.

On election day, over 60% of the country didn't feel she was qualified to be Vice President, to say nothing of President.

That’s ok.

The answer to my question is corruption.

I think you’re starting to get the point.
