Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) on Monday claimed that allegations of wrongdoing surrounding the community group ACORN are bigger than the Watergate scandal that brought down the President Richard Nixon.

King, a long-time critic of ACORN, told the conservative American Spectator that the ACORN scandals have been worse because they affect state, local and national politics.

"It's thousands of times bigger than Watergate because Watergate was only a little break-in by a couple of guys," said King. "By the time we pull ACORN out by its roots America's going to understand just how big this is."

The House Judiciary Committee member described the ACORN saga as "the largest corruption crisis in the history of America."

King and other conservatives have pushed for congressional investigations of ACORN [Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now] after several of its employees were caught on camera giving financial advice to two individuals posing as a pimp and prostitute.

Congress subsequently voted to temporarily strip the group of its federal funding.

Several Democratic lawmakers have said that the vote to strip the group of funding was a violation of its bill of attainder rights, which bans a legislature for punishing an individual or group without being convicted at trial.

In the interview King says that the group has direct ties to the White House and other powerful Democratic constituencies such as the labor movement.

Conservatives also have accused the group of engaging in voter registration fraud during the 2008 elections, during which the Democrats grew their majority in Congress and voters elected Barack Obama president.

And nothing will happen to ACORN because Zero controls the Judiciary (no independent judiciary now). Whatever happened to those New Black Panthers from Philly?? NOTHING!

The Democrats used Watergate to make enormous progress -- Nixon resigned, Carter came in, Independent Counsel laws were passed and were used to bring down others. Watergate was a mighty tool in the hands of the left.

ACORN? It's old news. It bores the GOP leadership. Talking of ACORN just puts the Republican elite to sleep. They don't even know how to spell RICO. They've moved on already.

With a pig like Holder in there, there is nothing we can do about it right now. We’ve got to take our government back from the commies first.

This President will not turn on his Black supporters. He doesn’t care about the country as a whole.

from: traces of nuts, obama in the middle Acorn Flow chart, connections.

okay, the reason no one focuses on Obama's "community organizing" is because few understand how it fits into the big picture. focus, trace, read - revisit if necessary - but do understand why

a) Obama has gotten to where he is and why he threatens to continue that meteoric rise - with your tax money - straight to the white house and

b) how Obama, his advisors & the dems are linked to the biggest financial meltdown since the Great Depression.

wrongdoing surrounding the community group ACORN are bigger than the Watergate scandal that... .............. SO WHAT?? The Dems will give them a free pass, it only works when they are Republicans or the Conservative Terrorists that they will pursue any wrong doings to the hilt. Besides if any investigation of ACORN becomes front page news, The MSM attention will again be drawn to Palin’s clothing bill.

The White House is so worried about Republicans looking into Acorn, they baked cookies for them in appreciation of their efforts.

Which is why I believe that the current group of rats in Congress will GUT Special Prosecutor legislation so that it can not be used against them when pubbies sweep into office in 2010.
