The founder of the website "Free Republic", Jim Robinson, has joined a growing boycott of the CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) due to a homosexual activist group sponsoring the event.
GOProud, a group that advocates same-sex "marriage," a repeal of the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy, and "expanding access to domestic partner benefits" for homosexuals, is listed as a sponsor of the event at CPAC's website.
Mr. Robinson has joined a number of conservative activists including Liberty University Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr., Liberty Counsel founder and chairman Mat Staver, and Gary Glenn, president of the American Family Association of Michigan in their efforts.
On a reply to an article about the boycott, Mr. Robinson stated "Ill join that boycott. If CPAC is no longer for conservative family values then I want nothing to do with them. Theyll have to change their name to HOMOPAC."
Tell me that CPAC isn’t just a bunch of direct-mail guys making a living fortune off being “conservatives” but NOT DOING DIDDLY-SQUAT otherwise!!
Made me laugh, too.
HOMOPAC :)
Straight-talkin’ Jim!
Proud to be a Freeper with principle.
CPAC has been producing a convention of sorts for Conservatives for at least the last decade. There’s nothing wrong with that.
It gives Conservatives a place to gather and network, both organized Conservative entities and the public.
People who produce electronics conventions, car shows, or whatever, provide a service. This one just provides a service for Conservatives. I support that, as long as it sticks to the “Conservative” game plan.
Lindsey Grahamnesty and Charlie Crist will not be happy about your “HOMOPAC” comment, Jim.
But for the rest of us true Conservatives, we’re with you 100%!
LOL. You win.
So what exactly are they sponsoring at CPAC? Are they part of a major policy discussion form or are they putting a drink stand out in the lobby? When I go, should I be worried they criticize my suit?
If you think that to be true, then you must be in favor of the United Nations ruling over every aspect of your life.
You do know that they want to confiscate your guns, your property and all your sovereign rights as an American, don't you?
JBS has been yelling this for decades. Some of us listened, some didn't.
Jim comes up with some good ones.:)
I’m okay with GOProud, even if I don’t agree with them on every last issue. It’s CPAC that’s jumped the shark and outed itself as sold out to Mitt Romney three years running. It’s been for sale to the highest bidder, apparently, for some time.
I think Palin had the right idea and it’s time to find a replacement for CPAC and their annual conference.
FUDGEPAC
LOL!
The Rockin’ QS Ranch stands firmly with Jim Robinson, and FRee Republic on this matter.
CPAC has screwed up BIG TIME.
Perhaps the Democrats can get away with standing with, and for sludge, and excrement, spinning their associations with parsed words pulled from the basket of hype, but Conservatism has always stood apart from such associations for good reason.
We are in a battle to retake our Nation. We are in a battle to retake our political party that has had its direction blurred by Leftist RINO associations. We need that Political Party to help retake this Nation from the unGodly Leftist criminals that have conned it away from us.
We need a clean and wholesome CPAC. NOT a CPAC as blurred in direction as the Republican Party RINO’s have achieved.
Whoever has made the decision to team with HOMO’s at CPAC should be looked upon with a wary eye, as one would look upon a RINO.
This is serious stuff - hang in there Jim.
GOProud, a group that advocates same-sex “marriage,” a repeal of the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, and “expanding access to domestic partner benefits” for homosexuals, is listed as a sponsor of the event at CPAC’s website.
And THAT ladies and gentlemen is exactly what is wrong with the “Big-Tent OP”
“We need a PAC” - breakfast 9/13
