A pro-family leader says organizers of the Conservative Political Action Conference are engaging in "moral surrender" by allowing a Republican homosexual activist group to co-sponsor the prestigious event.
Liberty University Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr., and Liberty Counsel founder and chairman Mat Staver have sent a letter to American Conservative Union chairman David Keene, warning him they will boycott CPAC 2010 if the homosexual activist group GOProud is allowed to remain as a co-sponsor of the February event.
Gary Glenn, president of the American Family Association of Michigan, was one of the first social conservative leaders to sign the letter. He believes CPAC's embrace of GOProud is symptomatic of a broader problem -- what he calls the "dumbing down of the pro-family stand in the public policy arena."
Glenn recalls a blog entry by a homosexual activist in 2003. "...He gleefully predicted, with the rise of the homosexual 'marriage' issue, that even the pro-family groups would eventually hand homosexual activists everything they want on their agenda -- other than legalizing so-called homosexual 'marriage' -- just to prove that they're not all bigots for opposing homosexual marriage.
"And unfortunately we see evidence of that," the pro-family spokesman concludes. "Here's just the latest example of CPAC doing something that ten years ago would have been unthinkable."
Glenn says CPAC fails to realize that the agenda of homosexual activist groups like GOProud has not only negative social and moral consequences, but also negative economic consequences.

Seems like something is going on over at CPAC.
There’s an old cliche about one not being able to be a little bit pregnant. One cannot be a little bit homo either.
If we are to win our fight against the indoctrination of our children in our schools, etc., then we cannot become tolerant of, or indoctrinated for any reason ourselves.
CPAC must stand against penetration by such homsexual activist groups.

Of course you’re not. No reasonable person reading your comments would think so. It’s a shame you even feel the need to preface your comments with the statement. But I understand the need to state it...because any disagreement is met with that attack. “You’re a homophobe!” “You’re a racist!”
I’m sorry it’s come to this.
You can’t be “bigotted” against a moral issue. It is not a genetic trait. It is a philosophy on life.
The language war is a propaganda effort designed to frame the arguments for/against.
I’ll join that boycott. If CPAC is no longer for conservative family values then I want nothing to do with them. They’ll have to change their name to HOMOPAC.

They don’t contribute anything to Conservatism, rather GOProud is a Trojan Horse for destroying our culture, our nation, and splintering the Conservatives/Republicans.
They are, and I do believe this, purposeful and subversive plants from progressive organizations, out to destroy us.
CPAC gets hooked by these groups that claim to be “conservative” but have no conservative properties. They need to read a little deeper when they get these opportunities.
CPAC should not be a subset of the RNC.

If GOProud remains a sponsor or stays in any way connected to CPAC 2010, count me out.
And if that means I’ll have people shouting, “racist” and “homophobe” at me, then so be it. Won’t bother me none.

the homo’s and perverts have been infiltrating our churches and now our groups, they have even tried to push their agenda on here pretending to be a conservative.
What I want is for video’s and photo’s of their freak parades and events like folsom fair to be shown on national TV and let those who say “well I know one and he is nice , he just wants to be left alone” to know who the real person is and who and what they are about.
I’m one of the signatories of that social conservative letter to CPAC, on behalf of Catholic Families for America. CPAC is acting reprehensibly on this issue.
phobe means to be afraid of to live in fear.
Saying they are disgusting, pointing out that it a very unnatrual act or even saying you disagree with their agenda is not living in fear or being afraid of.
If anyone wants to use the name calling then I suggest they find out what the wording means.
I know many who never go to church and find what they are is disgusting.
I myself had no problem with them until they started to push their agenda and get into the faces of those who cannot defend themselves.
If they want to call me names then so what I don’t give a crap but as of now not one person ever has ever said anything to my face instead they hide behind their keyboards
