He’s a damn liar. The only way he’ll change is if the people of Nebraska let it be known that he will never be elected to anything againg if he votes for this.

I don’t think he’s lying. What I think he’s doing is hedging his poor decision. He knows full well the house will not go along with the Senate bill as it stands.
This is just an effort for cover..He has no intention of backing out just as LIEberman has no intention of voting no. They all make me sick.

Isn’t a simple majority needed to pass what comes out of conference? He could be given cover to vote against it because all they will need is 51 votes. His deal with the devil that allowed them to get to 60 to end debate is what really matters.
