I agree with that. But for the immediate future, we need an even bigger 9/12 March, only this time we don’t leave. A tent city on the lawn of the Capital. The only thing the radicals now in office will understand is something that affects them directly. They believe they are immune from any blowback from their decisions.

I heartily agree. That is exactly what http://pushbackuntil.com describes. We need to do it over and over and over until they (and future Congressmen and Congresswomen) understand that we are not going to take it anymore. At this point, having a big demonstration on the day of the State of the Union address would be strategic, because we could shut down intersections around the capitol so that traffic would come to a halt in the city. And you are absolutely correct in noting that we have to affect them directly. Otherwise, they will continue to ignore us.

Do you have a date of the “super 9/12”? Or is it just in the idea stage?

What were some of the tactics the hippies used when protesting the Viet Nam War? I remember sit-ins (designed to halt traffic on sidewalks and streets), people chaining themselves to various things like doors (which would prevent people going in and out), flag-pole sitting, hunger strikes, anything weird and bizarre to get media attention and get their message out. Think about a bunch of people chaining themselves to the doors of the Senate building or doing a lie-in on the Capitol steps. Even the State Controlled Media would have to notice because it would be so wild.

On a related note, the 2010 March for Life is in DC on January 21 & 22.
