Yup, we sure do, but the people I talked with yesterday are giving up. They feel powerless, they are frustrated that all their efforts seem to be for nothing.

We have to rally them, and the best way to do that is action. Plans are being formed everywhere it seems. This new site is all over the Internet this evening.

We’ve got a lot to lose, no time to give up now. That’s what the enemy wants, for us to give up.

Can you just imagine what we could do if we have the media resources that the dems have. Most people want to SEE the news and calls to action, rather than having to exercise their gray matter by reading news on the internet. The GOP or Tea Party is in desperate need of a Fox Network, that would cover a story like this and not be afraid of upsetting DEAR READER and his Chicago thugs who now run everything and hold power over all the networks.

I certainly support the cause, but this doesn't sound very well thought out. Not purchasing things on the 20th has no effect on anything; it only shifts those expenditures to a different day. This is the same silliness the left tries when they periodically call for people to boycott gasoline purchases on a specific day to protest high gas prices.

Besides, how does temporarily restricting spending have any effect on the government? Seems to me the only people it might hurt (if it were effective, which it won't be - see above) would be merchants.

A better approach would be to refuse en masse to pay income taxes. The IRS is marginally constitutional at best anyway, and this would have a real impact. The problem here is obviously that it would take a very large number of people to participate, and that some would almost certainly be made examples of via IRS persecution if not outright prosecution. Also a problem is that most Americans have little control over tax payment thanks to the evil of witholding. The only option here would be for people to claim the maximum number of deductions, and to start doing it at the beginning of the tax year.

Something must be done, but the proposal contained in this post is only half-baked, I'm afraid. I'm all for pushing back hard (it's long overdue), but we must be SMART about how we do it.

Maybe what we need is a “Three-strikes-you’re-Out” law for our criminals in The House and Senate?
