Movie star Brittany Murphy is dead of a heart attack at 32.
She went into full cardiac arrest early Sunday and could not be revived, the Website TMZ reported.
The Los Angeles City Fire Department got a call from the home of Murphy's husband Simon Monjack about 8 a.m., fire officials told TMZ.
She was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead on arrival
Murphy starred in "8 Mile," and "Don't Say a Word."
The starlet became a household name among teens in 1995 as the sidekick in "Clueless," who went from awkward wall flower to snotty hottie.
A few years ago, she released the single "Faster Kill Pussycat," which became a dance club hit.
Her last big movie was "Sin City" in 2005
did she die of starvation?
Wow! What a shock.
32 is just too young.
Hmmmm....drugs?
Anorexia is a killer.
Wow! 3 times now. That’s what I’d call a bad day.
Mini Biography
Perhaps it was being born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in Edison, New Jersey that bestowed Brittany Murphy with the adaptability that has allowed her to conquer a fairly prodigious amount of projects for her 25 years. Brittany first honed her acting skills in regional theater at the age of 9. By age 13, she had signed on with a manager and began appearing in television commercials. In 1991, at the age of 13, Brittany and her mother moved to Burbank, California, where she landed her first television role on the show “Blossom” (1991). This lead to a starring role on “Drexell’s Class” (1991), a series that proved to be short lived. Brittany’s major breakthrough film appearance was in Clueless (1995), the Emma meets “Beverly Hills, 90210” (1990) comedy, in which she starred opposite of Alicia Silverstone. She has gone on to demonstrate her versatility and talent for not only comedy but drama; Brittany was nominated for best leading female performance in the Young Artist Awards for her role in the television film David and Lisa (1998) (TV). Aside from the 25 screen appearances since her Clueless (1995) breakthrough, Brittany has lean her vocal talents, established in the early 1990s as a lead singer of her band “Blessed Soul”, to the cartoon “King of the Hill” (1997) as the voice of Luanne. She now resides in Los Angeles, where she lives with her mother.
The Avis thread. We try harder.........
Anorexia nervosa can produce this result. She looks anorexic.

Wow. Clueless is a great movie and she was great in it. I’m gonna guess cocaine had something to do with this.
Sad...but I’ve never seen her in anything.
“Drive” is a decent little movie.
I always liked her in Just Married with Ashton Kutcher.
Yep. that was my first thought. recent pics have her looking like she's about 80-90 lbs. her heart probably gave up. Poor kid.
Brittany MurphyBrittany Murphy died early this morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, multiple sources tell TMZ.
She was 32.
A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ.
We’re told Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Murphy starred in such films as “Clueless,” “8 Mile,” and “Don’t Say a Word.”
UPDATE 3:11 PM ET — Sources tell TMZ Brittany Murphy’s mom discovered her unconscious in the shower.
