He is right. Soros and his ilk knew States AG are the key to control. Your State AG maybe your most important vote in 2010.

I’ve got some liberal neighbors who voted for 0 for the “free health care” stuff. They are now in the worst position of anyone for the health care fraud that has passed. A big “how’s that hopey changey thingy working for you” to them:)

As long as the pols control Other People’s Money nothing can change.

Put another way: who’s willing to lose their property, pension and liberty to starve the Beast?

I'm hoping McDonnell doesn't disappoint us..

Except for the fact that most state politicians are of the same gene pool that is in Versailles on the Potomac. In fact, most federal politicians started at the state level! If the best the author can come up with is a handful of “good” politicians, there is no hope for any change.

Thomas Jefferson was right about the tree of liberty. I even have an idea for my new flag - en extended middle finger!

Sounds great - but it’s just words.

Mao was right, and I believe they will play their hands in such a way that this conflict will be won or lost on the basis of the Second, not the Tenth.

Yes, we can do what this author says, but we should be fully prepared for it to fail. Hope I’m wrong, and hope it works, but we know where hope can lead us.

A great place to start reclaiming the country from the socialists, IMO.

AMEN! And while you’re at it, look around the neighborhood for somebody that understands states rights and send them to DC if the Republic is to stand. VOTE incumbents out unless you know they’re ABSOLUTELY listening to you!

The best we the people can seem to come up with is "throwing the bums out" every two or four years. BUT NOTHING CHANGES--at least, not in terms of restoring the fundamental principles of freedom and constitutional government.

We can throw the bums out all we want and we can change the majorities in congress all we want but unless we destroy the parties, nothing will change.

Study history and you'll find the answers.

This made sense decades ago.

The States are all dependent on the Feds now, Govs want to be elected and reelected. Their words mean nothing.

No modern Gov will take action against the Feds.

The author is absolutely correct! Excellent commentary!

Directing all of our anger and attention toward Washington is a complete waste of time and energy. Our elected “representatives” are no longer listening to us, in case you hadn’t noticed at the town hall meetings this past summer. They don’t care what we think any more.

Instead, focus on your home state. Demand candidates for state rep., state senator, governor and sheriff who are willing to tell the feds to go pound sand. Or run for office yourself. (I hear the pay is pretty good and there’s no heavy lifting.)

If even ONE STATE had the balls to say “hell no” to any of the ten thousand atrocities inflicted upon us by the feds, Washington would go crazy and actual change could begin. Let one state refuse to send income taxes to Washington, to cover the cost of unfunded mandates from the feds, and see how many other states would follow suit.

Sweeping change must begin at the state level. We can’t do this as individuals and we can’t expect any help from Washington. The states hold the key!
