If the legal teams do present a case against this...how can this stop the bill from passing...and don’t the tax, conditions etc. of this bill go into affect in Jan. therefore people, businesses, will feel the weight of this bill right away...while the legal teams battle for what could be years??????

Dont you know? Under Obama, all you think you possess actually belongs to him, to redistribute as he pleases. Unless we can stop him.Remember to Obama the Constitution is an obstacle to redistribution of wealth

I'm not a lawyer, so perhaps legal beagles here could address your question more directly.
My humble opinion is, no, it won't stop the bill from passing or prevent its damaging impact, but this monster needs to be killed by whatever means at our disposal. The constitution is our defense. If it takes years of legal battles, so be it.

Yep. That Mod is gone now. Everything is under control. Trust us. ;)

I am afraid this bill will pass though I battle it’s passage every day now.... Growing thin when senators etc. are not listening, gives way to looking at how I can individually counteract the affects of this if it does pass.
Meanwhile awaiting possible ways as citizens together we can make a stronger point then what seems apparent fallen on deaf ears.

The proponents of expansive federal power hang their hat on the Commerce Clause for Congresss authority to mandate health care insurance for citizens.
Essentially the socialists are trying to make the disingenuous argument the commerce clause gives Congress unlimited powers. If this were true, there would have been no need for our founding fathers to list specific powers granted to Congress in Article 1 Section 8. They would have only written in Article 1 Section 8 the ICC.
If this were true the founding fathers would not have bothered to write the 10th Amendment that starts with the wording " The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution" since all powers would be delegated to the United States.

This could be very expensive if a few more senators start having “second thoughts” after seeing the bribe Nelson got for his vote.
+++++++++++++++
Bammy, Rahm, PelosLIE and Scarry could care less about costs...it’s not *their* money and they don’t mind spending it LIBERALLY.

I don’t buy that this is a done deal. The elite want us to think it is. I say let’s keep giving these miserable rat bastards HELL by inundating them in faxes and burning the phone lines.

I agree with this. And we cannot give up even if some form of this monstrosity *does* pass.

WEll, my fingers are getting calloused from calling and writing and faxing...I won’t stop til it is done. However, I also have to consider if it does pass and the steps I can take thereafter....because either way this goes the fight is far from over.
I also believe that God has a History of coming in at the last moment, when all human effort has been exhausted. So I will not give up hope or doing my part...and that hope has not a thing to do with the Bo style of hope.
Sorry if I mislead you to thinking otherwise.

Thanks, and glad to hear that!

I saw that idea floated somewhere, and the conclusion was that the bill in total would require breaking up into a number of separate bills that could not be horse traded as successfully. Yes? No?
I believe in theory you are correct because the nuke option can only be used for financial bills. Therefor all the non-financial policy stuff would need to be stripped out into separate bill or bills.
BUT Harry Reid has not followed any rules so far, so I am sure he wouldn't let anything like a little ole rule get in his way of delivering this MONUMENT TO THE MAN-CHILD on Christmas eve.

They are not regulating health care. They are regulating interstate commerce.

They are trying to regulate the health care industry. The ICC only pertains to the transportation of goods across state lines. It does not pertain to regulating products once they enter a state. The ICC also doesn't apply because people cannot purchase insurance across state lines.
