“Huck is a good man I am sure, but we have the extraordinary Sarah Palin (once in a generation candidate)and all Huck is going to do is muddy the waters for Sarah. Is he going to hang on to the very end again, and really only be a spoiler?”
Finally an honest person. Your objection to Huckabee are more about your concern he will derail Palin (your horse) than the man himself. The majority of persons here on FR are too extreme in viewpoints and not in touch with the average voter....especially the evangelical base of the GOP. I like both Palin and Huckabee...and would be happy with either as POTUS. I think you will find that most conservative evangelical Christians feel the same....except for the ones that post on FR.
I don’t know if Huckabee will run or not. I don’t know if Palin will or not. However, I do know that in order for the GOP to survive a primary....the anti-Huckabee rhetoric has to go away; you can’t just blow off an important base to the GOP. It is vicious, pernicious, and poisonous to the process and does more harm than good. Do you want to destroy the GOP....then keep up the vendetta again Huckabee.
Tim Pawlenty has ZERO chance and will only be taking up space. Santorum now is openly talking about running, he has less than ZERO chance. The nightmare scenario could see the Conservative vote split again, leaving the door open for another McCain type.
I personally believe that Sarah will run, everything points to it, God willing! Huck may see the light and get behind Sarah? With Sarah in the race, he can not win the nomination. IMHO
