Supposedly hes in Connecticut for the Jewish sabbath, but come on. We all know hes in Barbados. Laughing his ass off.
Already, theyve wheeled in the cots for members and staff who choose to slumber party the night away in the Capitol, or Senate offices. But tomorrow, bright and early, all of them could need to be on hand for procedural reasons. For instance, Democrats expect to have to waive a budget point of order they expect Republicans to raise against the defense appropriations bill. That requires 60 votes
After being assured by Democratic and Republican leaders that his vote was not needed to pass the Defense Appropriations bill, Senator Lieberman went to Connecticut to spend the Sabbath and the last night of Hanukkah with his wife, Hadassah, and their children and grandchildren, reads a statement to TPMDC from Liebermans spokesman Marshall Wittmann.
--
That means Democrats will be relying on at least one Republican to help them get the defense bill over a procedural bump in order to push them back on to health care. Theyre crossing their fingers.

Does he intend to hold them in lock-down too?
They can't possibly be propping Sen Byrd up somewhere inside the Capitol bldg. I know his history and all, but the man does not deserve to die over Obambicare.
I don’t see them being able to drive him down from CT. Oh, da irony.
He’d be risking his life to try to drive (or be driven) to DC tonight. (I think the Sabbath does not end until sun up on Saturday anyway.)
And all flights are already cancelled.
So . . . oh well . . .
Maybe the Senate has a rule for inclement weather that gives them emergency voting procedures, or maybe they’ll make up such a rule on the spot.

Didn’t they recently hold up a vote for some guy who had gone to his mother’s funeral?
(I should remember the details, but I don’t.)
If Nelson left the building, except to a location from which he could WALK back, that’s it for the evening. The snow is coming down hard.
Still no ZZZZZs on my part.
Maybe a good adult drink will do the trick?
Hmmmmmmm. Let me think about that.
This is absolutely insane...there is absolutely no reason that the Senate needs to be in session 24/7 for every day until Christmas.
Now we have this huge snowstorm. What the heck are all of the staffers and government employees supposed to do? It is completely dangerous to have staffers trying to travel in 2 feet plus of snow.
If God forbid any government staffer gets in an accident due to the snow because the Dems are hell-bent on passing this thing, the Dems better be held accountable.
TWC guy says it’s coming down 3” an hour in DC. Calling it an “EPIC STORM”.
I agree. This shows how out-of-control Reid is. He is a megalomaniac.
Hi M!
They’ll probably name the storm after Byrd in West Virginia.
Everything else there already is.
Yes, they can hold the vote up, but they can’t hold the vote without all their members there. Unless they want to EPIC FAIL.
muuuuaaaaaaahhhhhh
Thanks, Palladin. It’s supposed to be warmer tomorrow with rain, so I’m hoping the trip will get easier. For now, I’m going to get some zzzz.
Im sure Joe is getting even for Al Frankens crap of denying him additional time. However, I heard that it was on Harry Reids orders as the Dim freshman senator from Alaska did the same to Texas Senator Cornyn.
Thank you for your comment.
For a person who seems to be quite ill, I have to admire his strength for being up, dressed, and looking awake at that hour in the morning.
My best regards....
Any word on Kerry? Wasn’t he flying to Copenhagen commercial, ... or did his hitch a private ride home?
Franken is a beholden tool.
They'll have to find him first. With all the snow, it'll be hard to find someone dressed in a white sheet...
Is Kerry traveling with Pelosi?
From CNN White House Correspondent Ed Henry
A winter storm is expected to wallop the D.C. area Saturday.
Copenhagen (CNN) In a strange twist, a Washington snowstorm is forcing Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-California, to make an early departure from a global warming summit here in Denmark.
Pelosi told CNN that military officials leading her Congressional delegation have urged the 21 lawmakers to leave Copenhagen several hours earlier than scheduled on Saturday.
The Speaker said she has agreed to the new travel plan so that lawmakers can get back to Washington before much of the expected storm wallops the nation’s capital.
I wish we knew who’s in the building and what’s going on.
I just saw Kay Bailey Hutchinson on Greta’s show, but I know it was taped earlier.
