I’m very gainfully employed where I currently live. However, my company has many openings in SoCal that I’d love to do. However, despite their substantial raises offered, I’d have even less take home pay after taxes, etc. Add to that the commute, crime situation, and necessity to learn where I cannot go as well as a second language, and I think I’ll stay put.
Why work more to pay democrats?
Gee....guess that liberal concept of ever rising taxes and regulations is taking it’s toll.
But wait??? Who’s gonna pay for all those platinum plated state and local government retirement packages that have been promised.
Guess, all the money taken in goes to paying salaries and retirement, so you can forget about fixing roads, schools, etc... you know, all those things you thought government was supposed to do....silly us.
Guess the government exisits solely to pay lavish salaries & pensions to the chosen few.
Both of those charts indicating a pretty obvious decline. Only in a liberal mind does a decline equal a slowing of growth.
Attention: democrap leaders have killed almost all ability to make any money in the DPRC. A rational person can easily see that democrap socialist policy kills jobs.
While the State of California sinks into the RAT sewer, the Liberal morons in the California Assembly, are spending their time worrying about what kind of television sets the people of California own. Add Arnold, the RINO, to that list of morons too.
Liberals destroy everything they touch or have control over. Case closed!
No jobs, but I hear they got internet in Californee.
I've already posted my Mea Culpas for letting this clown fool me. I'll say it again, though. I hope Milton Friedman's estate decides to delete Schwarzenegger's intro to the "Free To Choose" series, now that Schwarzenegger has turned traitor.
The Democrats have been hard a work destroying the State. Add the ridiculous thousands of government workers that their only purpose is to regulate, punish, and over tax it's citizens.
And what will you bet the majority of that 350,000 are illegals looking for the nearest welfare office?
A simple way to view this is to look at the Uhaul rental rates to and from california. The rental cost TO california is approx 60% of the cost of moving OUT OF california. This indicates an overall net outflow of people from the state.
Does UHaul operate on the unguarded border? The rates only reflect legal population shift, not the movement of illegal hordes.
They lost 47000 employers in 2008.
Did they expect good news?
Gee....guess that liberal concept of ever rising taxes and regulations is taking its toll
Well, the concept worked for the liberals in CA so I guess liberals can take in national now, right. Where are these peoples brains. Gotta be sitting on them.
Bureaucrats, their wealthy freinds and the very poor will soon be the only ones left. Thats called 3rd world status.
It reflects REAL taxpaying Americans responding to job loss and economic downturn leaving the state. Doubt seriously illegals rent Uhauls to come to ca from mexico. But even on the illegal side, it is reported that they’ve headed back south as well because of the lack of work.
The article is confusing but the bottom line is it indicates growth.
Is that economic growth as in GDP or population growth
It is showing growth in the Sacramento area, not california in general. Since this is the bloating capitol of the state, not suprising that this is one area that is growing.
Woops focused on the lower figure. Yeh <1% growth - probably generated by births rather than real influx of people.
Another interesting dimension is the aging of the north state. By 2020, a large sector of the population will be 60 or older. These are the folks that don’t need family wage full time jobs. Unfortunately, seniors demand far more in services than they pay taxes for. It will be a further drain on the state.
