Obamanites were desperate for something, anything

That seems to be their method of operation on every issue.

Yeah.... “Meaningful Agreement”

They agreed to drop their pants... and Obama/Hillary agreed to kiss their ass.

Any agreement was expected, at best, to envision emissions-cutting targets for rich nations and billions in climate aid for poor countries, but fall well short of the goal of a legally binding pact. If the political deal is done, it would still be seen by many as a setback, following two years of intense negotiations to agree on new emissions reductions and financial support for poorer nations.

The headline is all that counts. It is in the spirit of hope if not in substance

Remember.....they lie

How true that is!

What an utterly pathetic and weak administration.

IOW, a joint statement that pretends they got something done - so the obuummer wouldn't, once again, come home with egg on his face.

Do they really think anyone is fooled?

additional details here also:

Tentative deal reached in Copenhagen on climate change curbs

http://www.latimes.com/news/nation-and-world/la-fg-obama-climate19-2009dec19,0,2331799.story

The deal includes specific targets for rich nations to reduce the emissions scientists blame for global warming; for emerging powers to reduce them as a share of their economies; a transparency provision that will subject China, India and other fast-developing nations to international review of their self-reported progress on emissions limits; and a commitment by wealthy nations to marshal $100 billion a year in climate aid for poor nations by 2020.

And it is the culmination of a full-court press by the Americans to woo China, including dispatching fully half of the U.S. negotiators to focus on the Chinese, and a sharp rejoinder from Obama in a speech this morning to the leaders gathered here.

The president promised that the United States would keep its pledge to reduce emissions — in the range of 17% below 2005 levels by 2020 — “no matter what happens in Copenhagen.”

How much is this going to cost us?

Not much, just the sovereignty of the United States...

He’d rather please his co-tyrants than the people he’s supposed to represent.

This is so confusing to me. So we’re borrowing billions and billions, if not trillions from China. Then, we’re turning around and giving at least 100 billion for this GW crap.

China really doesn’t want to go along (in all respects, why should they - THEY are the ones probably paying for the $100 billion that we’re pledging) because they kinda see that if they pay anything, they’re paying twice. And if they have to reduce production for this deal, that’s a triple whammy for them. No wonder they want nothing to do with it!

I predict at least one other nation will come out to say that Obama is wrong and that they DID NOT agree with his “deal”. He is so desperate he will do anything to make it appear that he is all powerful.

Wonder how much this Obama face saving move will cost us...

30 billion in the next three years. Hopefully Zerobama will then be voted out of office.

I'm sure this is all in the interest of "saving his presidency" like the Obamacare bill that Dingy Reid is busy translating with his Urim and Thummim.
