Her family can stay with our family anytime.

Hopefully they'll wrap up their vacation with Todd's parents who winter about 5 miles from here.

Maybe we could get lucky and run into 'em at one of the local Mexican restaurants.

Okay—she needs older advisers!

I think if it happened, she wouldn’t say so. But I can see this as something that a savvy youngster like Piper might say.
Either way, it displayed a lapse in judgment that is slightly disquieting.

If things don’t change soon with her “advisors” and “PR” people, I will be looking seriously at Tim Pawlenty.

You would think that after going through a brutal campaign, Ms. Polyanna would have learned a thing or two.

I remember an interview from Juneau (before VP selection) where she walked from the Governor's mansion to her office just as most of us would walk from home to our nearby office. She had one security guard and passerby's greeted he politely. Those days are gone but it must be hard to let them go. As I said above, she's learning." <<<<

Thanks for the informative post, it is very difficult down in the Lower 48 to imagine any member of the Palin family have an unconventional anonymous life.

What an excellent idea!! Auction off the hat with the proceeds going to John McCain’s fav charity, that’s a great idea!

Yikes, I'm surprised that no witty freeper has yet made some funny remark using the punny words, 'visor' and 'adviser.'

Governor Timothy Pawlenty is a milquetoast RINO -- how could a Palin afficianado ever get interesting in him???????

LOL

Getting rid of Meg Stapleton, Palin’s spokesperson, would be a start. Stapleton has shown no concept of PR and is clueless how politics works.

Good suggestion. Sarah needs someone who can play hardball.

Saccharin does not do it for me!

But I am very irritated that she not only would behave like this, but then express surprise at the consequences.

This is such a big non-issue. Why do you care. It makes no sense.

Okay, thanks Palladin, you frightened me there for a moment.

Say.... do you by any chance know who Meg Stapleton is??

And where we all can find her a brand new job?

"Its even in Alaska..."

I don't mean to be a stick in the mud, but isn't the idea of a vacation to get away from where you live and see something different?

The article mentioned going somewhere to "get some sun" and relax.

Now, I live in Georgia...that island in Alaska might be fun for me as I've never been to Alaska, and never ridden on a snowmobile...but those folks do it every day, they need something different.

Just sayin'

I suppose this person has been a spokesperson for so long that she's like a family friend to the governor?

Of course it’s an issue as long as her opposition has pegged her book and other comments as examples of her whining. People can give her slack for ‘whining’ to set the record straight when she was dirty tricked in the McCain campaign.

But to whine about self-inflicted errors like trying to vacation with the public without attracting the press—that just cements an image her detractors are already trying to make stick.

Yep, that’s a good idea. He’d probably be the perfect candidate for you, if having good handlers is what you want.

He’s currently being “handled” to within an inch of his life by people trying to make him the conservative his record and words very clearly show that he is not.

His handlers just took him on a meet and greet to NH where about 75% of the Repubs don’t know who he is.

So if handling’s your game, Yawnplenty’s your man!

Oh, and by the way how’s Minnesota doing with their absentee Gov, who’s yet still taking a paycheck?

I hear Alaska’s doing great with the Governor that Sarah Palin left in charge of it.
