I actually don’t mind this. If people are will to serve in the military, they have earned their citizen card. This is not really new, we had similar policies in the first 100 plus years of this country. We shouldn’t oppose immigrants who really want to be Americans and contribute to society. We should oppose the criminals and the ones who simply want to milk the system.

A Muslim adheres to a faith that is a political ideology opposed to enforcing equal rights for those practicing any other religion. It is impossible for a Muslim to take the oath of citizenship in good faith. They have no intention of being Americans, all protestations and appearances to the contrary.

I agree that military service should qualify one for citizenship, but this is 10 weeks. 70 days!

Military enlistment is not proof of that. See one Maj. Hassan for the most recent example. This is just an open door to introduce traitors into the ranks. The higher ups in the military have proven beyond all shadow of a doubt that they're too politically correct to handle the responsibility of vetting these people, let alone in 10 weeks time.

Illegal immigrants should not be rewarded in ANY WAY! They can go through the same channels as anyone else wanting to immigrate. There are plenty of citizens willing to serve—the services have all been meeting their recruitment quotas.
