Stripped naked to the waist, she begs for mercy as she is savagely beaten by a lynch mob in the middle of the street. Alejandra Maria Torres was part of an armed gang that tried to rob bus passengers in Guatemala City.
But as she tried to escape the passengers stripped and beat her before dousing her in petrol and setting her alight. Police put out the flames and arrested her. Her three companions
Lynchings are common in Guatemala. In the last year, mobs have attacked more than 250 people, leaving at least 40 of them dead.
Criminals are a frequent target but officials are sometimes attacked, including a judge who issued a rape verdict thought by the public to be too lenient. The practice stems from the civil war of 1960 to 1996 when civil defence patrols carried out many of the murders in the state-sponsored genocide of Left-wing rebels, many of them peasants.

gotta love vigilante justice.
and toasted.....
Just can’t work up a tear for her. I think that burning her after they took her down was way wrong, but it might keep others from trying it also.
Oh well.
So when do we get to do this to commies? Do they not rob us too?
Umm uhhhh uuuhhh ahhh Nevermind ....
Mob rule - something the founders abhored. They preferred a nation of laws and not of men.
I’m wondering what would happen to the Gitmo vacationers if they were set loose on the streets of NYC.

How many congress critters are there?
Just a thought.

I think this says more about the state of the “law” and the “Justice system” than it does about the folks making the comments who are disillusioned by it all.
Your local police force is founded on that principle. In Guatemala it's the same thing, but their resources are limited and they have difficulty making it look all that neat.
The bus passengers were entitled to turn bandits into fresh meat for the dogs along the road.
So 3 meals a day and arrows on the ground pointing to mecca are the right thing to do in gitmo?
Indeed. At least then people would know they were accountable for their actions!
Amazing! Are the illegal aliens bringing this with them to the U.S.?
That would be wonderful if people, especially those in power, obeyed the laws. We are currently ruled by a bunch of thugs who seem to think the laws are for US to obey not them.
Mob rule is the obvious eventual outcome.
