Notice also how the quoted source “Ali” makes an insidious insinuation re racism. We object to Nation of Islam because they are BLACK!! Isn’t that so clever and typically liberally superior of him? And... sort of a warning to not question any race-based group.

So, what did the report say about the Nation of Islam as a threat to national security?

The Department of Homeland Security issued but recalled a 2007 intelligence analysis about the Nation of Islam after deciding the document dealing with the black Muslim group broke rules on intelligence activity in the United States, officials said Wednesday.

Bull Shiite, the DOHS is not the CIA nor the military, both of whom are prohibited from "Domestic surveilance". But if NoI folks were in contact with "foreign" groups with terrorist ties, then even the former could investigate.

That said, I think the NoI is mostly a lot of sound and fury, signifying not much. The biggest danger they prsent is losing their flocks to more conventional Islamic groups, who really are a danger.

My job took me to an Air National Guard base yesterday...there was a recruiting poster, with all sorts of minorities on it, and DIVERSITY in big letters.

Our priorities have changed.
