Pugh was sleeping inside a friend's home on Blue Spruce Drive on Monday night, little did he know, he wasn't the only guest.
"He got in an out of the house without waking anybody up," Pugh told Eyewitness News.
Pugh slept soundly until deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office knocked on the door looking for a missing four year old boy.
"They found him at the end of the street drinking a beer, walking around like it was nothing," Pugh remembered.
It wasn't until the deputies left and the scene cleared away that Pugh realized the little boy had come in the unlocked door and taken all of the presents from underneath the Christmas tree.
Under the tree were items of clothing including a girl's dress, which the little boy was wearing when deputies found him.
"Ended up finding all of the presents in {his} house hidden. I don't know what he was thinking," Pugh said of the boy.
The boy made it home safe and sound, but Pugh wonders what could have happened to him.
"He could have come in and found something that could have hurt him," he said.

Interesting — probably more to this story to come.
It always embarrassing to be discovered wandering the streets, drunk and wearing your neighbors dress./s
So how did he get his hands on a beer?
Raided the refrigerator first....
*LOL*....Why I never.......well, not in a dress anyway
ahhh maybe the refrig
Might nothing but pure innocence. I took off when I was 4 and went to the store all by myself, 4 blocks away. It didn’t occur to me that it was wrong. I crossed 4 lanes of traffic to get to the store. Once I got there I was suddenly hit with the thought that I couldn’t do anything there...No Moma, no money. The local preacher saw me and took me home. I never thought about drinking a beer while on my adventure though.
This kid is a natural. Reminds me of the movie Paint Your Wagons.
i can picture a four year old going for a coke, milk, or some other kid-friendly drink but not a beer. something is seriously amiss here.
or wear a dress...
Imagine having a 4-year-old crossdressing alcoholic.
...today?...he'd have his own reality show
There you have it. We need Federal legislation mandating the registration of beer and requiring that all owners of alcoholic beverages keep them locked in Federally approved containers, under penalty of severe jail time and fines to insure that nothing like this can ever happen again. If it keeps just one child sober for one night, it's worth it.
LOL!
Can a 4-yr old boy open a can? (No pun intended)
But does a four year old know what a coke or a beer looks like?
I mean can he read the labels yet?
Kids today...I never did anything like this till I was 7.
