Your friend who moved to Turkey in for a very rude awakening... I’d advise writing him a farewell note before the locals discover who he really is, else urge him to return home quickly.
Those locals are not very nice - they killed several people I knew, as well as some of their own.
When in Turkey:
If you se a Turk wielding a gun - don’t worry he’s probably a lousy shot.
If you see a Turk wielding a knife - run for yor life or you will be skinned alive before you can blink.
Isn’t there a saying about God looking after fools and drunks, or something like that? He’s a true idiot. And I think he’s such an idiot he confuses even the Turks.
