"I don't see voting for the current bill that is on the floor, even with the improvements that have been made," Collins said. "I'm very leery of the impact of nearly $500 billion in Medicare cuts, particularly the cuts in home health care, which are completely counterproductive to the goal of lowering costs."
Collins explained that she is continuing to work on the bill not because she intends to vote for it but because, "I think something is going to pass, and I would like to make that bill as good as possible, even if ultimately it's not a bill that I can support."

—Health bill is ‘too deeply flawed for me to support it’....
**....but some subsidies for the timber industry, or maybe a few hundred million to study the mating patterns of the Bah Hahbah Green Lobstah would help take the sting off it.

Right. WE’RE WATCHING and WILL RESPOND to such shenanigans.
That doesnt mean give up....keep the fire on Nelson and Lieberman and Snowe.
If two of the three stand firm, this turkey wont pass.

Exactly.
There are too large of differences between the two Bills to have it pass the House.
The Senate rejected the anti-Abortion amendment and the Public Option, both of which were necessary for Pelosi to get the necessary votes.
If either of them are not in the final Bill, it will not pass the House.
If they are put back in, it will not pass the Senate.
That is exactly what I believe.
Reid may get something out of the Senate, but it will never pass the final vote in the House without an anti-abortion amendment and the public option.
I think Reid is just throwing the hot potato back to Pelosi and put the blame on her for it failing the final vote.
