With 51 votes they can put back in what Lieberman had taken out and even might get the Feds paying for abortion back into the bill and then pass the bill with 51 or more votes in the senate. - tom
Another angle to consider is the polls. With Ras now showing 61% opposed to HealthScare, this could be a face-saving way to back out. Maybe the 'rats don't want to get walloped next November.
You think they are toast now, if they use this option they will be burnt toast, because reconciliation is only used on bills of a budgetary nature. So let em do it. Break their own rules, then it will be mob rule.
A huge problem right now on FR imo. One of the reasons quite a few long timers have steadily stopped posting here. We used to read the articles before we posted in order to hold intellegent debate or just to comment with some authority. We have many now that just jump in and based on what the first few posters say they just mimic. You can clearly tell they haven't read the article.

In which case, the country will be in open revolt against the RATS.
i HEARD Sanders from Vermont say that you still need 60, but if they go with the nuke option, then hell they can just do it anyway they want. Unless there are 10 dem senators who aren’t nuts.
